THE REPLACEMENT SAFETY SERIES THE NEEDLE TIP SAFETY SERIES

Notice the wire shown on the left, which is used on our test leads, has many more strands than the wire shown on the right. The difference enables our wire to carry more current and amps safely, and is not easily broke. Also the wire we use has EDPM Rubber insulation which stays more consistent in different temperature ranges, the other wire uses PVC insulation which becomes very stiff in cooler temperatures. Oldaker standard lead length is 4' most others are 2' to 3'.

OLDAKER WIRE THE “OTHER” WIRE

Notice the probes on the right use tips that are all nickel plated brass with small safety rings, all accessories, if any, must slide onto the small .080" diameter pin, which is not safe or secure. Oldaker probes (Shown on the left) use stainless steel needle tips with very sharp polished points for piercing insulation and sure contact, the tips are threaded so all accessories can be securely attached to the tip for better contact and safety. Also the tips are recessed so that the area where the accessory connects to the probe tip is inside the probe to prevent the user from shock. The material used for the probe is ABS, V094 Flame Retardant plastic. The safety rings are 3/4" and well positioned on the probe to keep the user from the exposed tip.

All attachments recess into molded connectors to help reduce the possibility of shock. These micro adapter kits allow accessories that were once reserved for scopes and scope probes to be used with standard test meters and is a new method of connecting IC's, test points, wire wrap pins, terminals and other miniature components to standard leads. The lead (4262) for 793 kit, presses onto any test lead with a .080" dia. Probe tip, and allows the user to attach any of the micro hooks or clips to the end of any standard lead set. The lead (4262-1) for 793-1 kit, allows the user to attach micro accessories to either end. The Oldaker 944 series test probes are designed to provide utmost user safety. The 1000V products are

based on the Rigid Sleeve principle: Each probe has a socket that accommodates a standard banana plug either standard, shrouded or retractable. The sleeve that surrounds the sides of the 4mm socket is insulated to keep fingers from the test area to insure a shock proof connection to 1000V. Choose from a variety of grip, pierce, clamp and hook types to find the right probe for your test and measurement applications.

The 944-1 features 2 rotating, clamp-style tongs for securely grabbing pins and wires with diameters of up to 5/32". And, thanks to the special shrink - tubing on the flexible shaft, this and all 944 probes are resistant to solder iron heat and high temperatures. Sold as RED or BLACK.
