The MPM SAS company has developed, with the latest technology, an innovative system for telecommunications management that, with a few simple steps, allows the control, connection and transponder (radio-wire interconnections and vice versa) with any type and different resources, such as:

- HF-VHF-UHF-TETRA radios;

- GSM-PABX-SATCOM-telephone systems.

The system S0191.0000 finds many applications especially in Defense ad Civil Protection (Fireman and Security)

The System, considered the best technological innovation from Microsoft™ 2008/2009, is able to meet any operational needs and it’s able to coordinate the connections as represented in the diagram below.

The system finds applications in fixed environments (Radio Room Operator - TWR) and mobile (vehicles), ensuring always fast and reliable operations.

The Model S0191.0000 System consists of:

- Operator Console model U0555

- Control Unit model U0556

The Operator Console can manage all the equipments in the rack or in the Radio Room. The expandability of the Operator Console is in consecutive blocks of four Console. The controlled resources are configurable in according to customer’s requirements. In a standard configuration the System includes the control of:

a) nr. 1 GSM / GPRS / UMTS channel (audio and sending/receiving SMS); b) nr. 1 analogic satellite channel;

c) nr. 2 PABX channels connected to the telephone system; d) nr. 8 Radio of various types.

The unit, which allows the use of commonly features on the radio-telephone equipment, has both handset has a speaker for listening in hands-free mode.

Control Unit model U0556

The standard configuration of the modules contained in the control unit is as follows:

- n.1 Power Module 9-18 V 10A ; - n.1 CPU module ;

- n.1 Operator Interface Modules (which can handle up to 4 operators); - n.1 GSM Module;

- n.1 SAT Module (one analog channel for interconnection – PABX type) ; - n.1 Phone Module (two analog channel for telephone terminals)

- n.4 Radio Module (each of which is able to connect and manage two radio).

The Unit has the acquisition and generation of DTMF tones to explain the remote user about status, management and adjustment of audio level and lines between the different TLC resources. In particular, the functions are:

- Automatic detection of TLC resources used.

- Adapting communication protocols and audio interfaces; Command and control of all resources TLC used, particularly:

GSM

Management, monitor and signal of incoming call; SMS management;

Automatic detection and security management of the SIM; Control of incoming calls ;

Monitor of audio presence.

Radio

Setting and monitoring parameters radio such as frequency, channel, power; Volume control of all radio by every single Operator Console;

Monitor and sending of SMS via radio (if allowed by the radio); Control of selective calls with automatic tone CCIR.

Automatic control of the transmission and reception of radio; Monitor presence audio;

Satellite

Control of calls;

Monitor presence audio and signal for incoming call;

Telephone lines

Control incoming calls;

Monitor presence audio and signal for incoming call

Automatic connection of the TLC equipments using signals available (Toni, Sub-tones, and DTMF and CCIR codes);

Send to users of resource, state requested through tones. Response to users by signalling tones.

The system, in addition to operating automatic can be controlled by a local operator. This operator has priority over all system commands. The local operator can also use any TLC equipments available, including the option of listening in modality viva-voice.

Use and extra functions

The GETI System has the ability to manage communications radio / telephone (transmission, reception, control and affiliation) from both local and remote operator via activation of codes in use to customer. This function is made possible through the recognition of data, format CCIR tones and / or DTMF from the radio or telephone lines. The software of the Unit is able to recognize the calling user and automatically forward the call to the desired operation. The operator caller also through particular tones, generated by the system will be updated on the status of the call (busy, waiting, call, current issue, the wrong code, etc..)

The GETI System also allows the following auxiliary functions: Telephone call by heading;

- N. 8 users stored easily retrievable;

- Use the satellite link to relay audio communications;

- Automatic detection of telecommunications resources: Radio, Satellite, GSM, PABX;

- Interrogation of the operative state of the system and your components by remote PC using existing LAN, and control access through a password security.

- Switching the radio management from automatic control to manual control in case of system failure.

The System was used by Italian Firemen Department on trucks AF / UCL for NBCR(nuclear, bacteriological, chemical, radiative) emergency and rescue as standard telecommunications radio – telephone

The system was also used as a principal system of Operative Room for the Firemen Provincial Command in Milan (Italy). For purposes of Radio Room has been redesigned graphical interface. The system was configured for 12 telephone channels and 6 radio channel.

The Civil Protection of Regione Marche (Italy) has entrusted the full development of a TLC vehicle to use in emergency prevention and safety.

The management of telecommunications include:

- Radio / Sat / TETRA system; - Phone System;

- Computer system.

In terms of operational performance, a mobile emergency communications of Civil Protection Marche Region is unique.

The follows picture are picture of the developed systems.

The realized mobile unit has been used for the first time in operating activities following the “Youth Meeting” with the Pope in September 2007 in Loreto. The system has ensured, 24h to 24h, the radio and telephone links with all the operational centers involved in the control and safety of the meeting. The Unit attracted great interest and appreciation from other Italian Department for the full operational autonomy and the immediacy of radio and wire communications implemented with the transponder. We report some pictures of meeting’s place:

RADIO-TBT Communications

The GETI System installed on truck of Civil Defense as well as ensuring H24 radio and telephone links with all the operational centers concerned about security of the Pope. It has also secured the communications from the Control Center with the helicopter during the flight of the Pope.

MUNICIPAL POLICE

The Municipal Police of Civitavecchia (Rome - Italy) is implementing the Command&Control Room through the GETI system.

With the Geti System is possible to meet fully operational needs expressed by the customer, including:

- Recording and archiving of communications; - Radio tracking and location tracking of vehicles;

- Communication with the mobile units via coded digital messages;

- Software for receiving and managing requests for emergency and for coordination of patrols; - Radio transponder with other national police;

- Integration with CCTV security systems for alarm management.
