ABOUT WEDNESDAY: A grand slam by Chadwin Stang followed by a two-run shot by Nick Ramierez put a damper on the Kernels Fourth of July celebration as the Kernels fell, 10- 9. Kernels reliever A.J. Alvarez (0-1) gave up six runs on four hits, walked one and struck out one over 2/3 inning in taking the loss. Starter Dan Reynolds had a good outing, giving up a run on five hits and striking out six over 5 IP. Kevin Moesquit was 1-4 with a double and 2 RBI and Chevy Clarke was 1-4 with a RBI. Zach Wright made the game close with a two-run homer in the ninth. Wisconsin reliever Stephen Peterson (2-1) picked up the win and Tommy Toledo notched his fifth save. Stang finished the game 3-6 with a double to go with the grand slam and Ramierez was 4-5 with two doubles and 3 RBI.

KERNELS MANAGER JAMIE BURKE: Taking over as the Kernels Manager is Jamie Burke.
The native of Rosenburg, OR was drafted by the Angels in the 9th round of the 1993 draft out of Oregon State University and played for the Kernels in 1994, hitting .264 with a HR and 47 RBI in 127 games. He made his MLB debut with the Angels on May 9, 2001 and played 191 Major League games with the Angels, White Sox, Mariners and Nationals as a catcher and infielder. He retired at the end of the 2010 season and this is his first season as a manager in the Angels organization.

RHP FRANK DE JIULIO: RHP Frank De Jiulio makes his fourth start and 22nd overall apperance tonight for the Kernels. He was selected by the Angels in the 38th round of the 2011 First Year Player Draft out of the University of Tampa.
