OPENING OF A FACTORY IN MUNICH In the center of Munich – at Implerstraße 18 – our first factory opens its gates and starts with the production of an operating table.

In 1955, MMM launches its first steam sterilizer in the market, the “LUX 500”.

BMT IS FULLY INTEGRATED INTO THE MMM GROUP In December, MMM GmbH acquires the remaining shares of BMT Czech Republic thereby becoming the sole shareholder. CHANGE IN MANAGEMENT

Johann Koller hands over the management of the company to the next generation - his son Michael Koller and his two sons-in-law Arnulf Raab and Anton Schäfer.

NEW MAJORITY SHAREHOLDER Senior manager Johann Koller transfers his shares to his son Michael. He becomes a majority shareholder of MMM GmbH.

ACQUISITION OF SHARES IN CHIRANA BRNO (BMT) The fall of the Iron Curtain enables MMM to acquire shares

in Chirana Brno and thereby create the BMT brand.

ACQUISITION OF KÜSTER-HARTMANN IN BERLIN The year of the Olympic Games in Munich becomes a decisive one for MMM: The company acquires KÜSTER-HARTMANN’s production facility at Salzufer in Berlin, its sales location in Cologne, its customer

START OF PRODUCTION IN THE STADLERN FACTORY

Johann Koller intentionally selected his place of birth as the future manufacturing and training location of MMM: the production bottlenecks on the one hand, and also the shortage of available skilled workers in Munich motivated him to take this step in the direction of his home town. MMM DELIVERS THE FIRST STERILIZER

in the German market and takes over the Sterilization division of the company ROM Rudolf Otto Maier, Hamburg (Neiss Engineering).

MMM can look back with pride on its 65 years of experience in sterile goods reprocessing. And a 65-year old family tradition. Another member of the family, Benedikt Koller, is appointed to the Executive Board. His areas of responsibility: strategy as well as business development across the Group and divisions.

RELOCATION OF MMM MUNICH MMM’s headquarters moves from Implerstraße to Planegg, a south-western suburb of Munich, to provide more space for the administration, human resources, research and development, sales, and custom machine construction departments.

60-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE COMPANY During the anniversary year, MMM HCI (Healthcare International) is established. It is responsible for the ‘General Contractor for Hospital Projects’ division.

OPENING OF A FACTORY IN PEITING In Peiting near Schongau, Germany, MMM finds the optimal conditions for a further R&D and manufacturing location for its cleaning and disinfection range of products. This enables the MMM Group to become a full-service provider for RUMED solutions.

MMM ACQUIRES A MAJORITY STAKE IN BMT

Johann Koller established the company MMM Münchener Medizin Mechanik GmbH on May 21, 1954 in Munich, back then as a mechanical repair shop for operating tables, sterilizers, and other medical equipment. Today the MMM Group is a globally active company group. Our core competence: the entire spectrum of cleaning, disinfection and sterilization related products and services for sterile goods reprocessing in hospitals, scientific institutes, laboratories, and the pharmaceutical industry.
