THE TRUE VALUE OF PERSONAL ASSISTANT TRAINING

A survey of CEOs conducted in 2009 by the Association of Personal Assistants

(APA) in conjunction with Monster, TotalJobs and Reed.co.uk found that some

executives attribute over 40% of their productivity to their PA. Training is an

investment, not an expense. It is true that people need maintenance and

upgrades even more than machines do, so if retraining is maintenance and

training is an upgrade, managers should train the people they intend to keep,

including themselves. Development really is the next generation model!

Personal Assistant Tips In-house Training

The Benefits of In-house Training

In-house training provides an opportunity for businesses to address specific problems that are unique to PAs in their organization. In-house training also provides a forum for PAs to discuss common problems and agree strategies for moving forward. In-house courses are presented in an interactive environment where delegates participate in group problem solving using case studies and practical exercises. Each delegate will be invited to add to their action plan any actions they intend to take forward and any changes they will make to the way they work.

Why Your PAs Should Attend

The role of the modern PA is constantly changing and evolving, and as such, PAs need to have a solid understanding of essential PA skills and the confidence to tackle tasks that are outside their skills-set. This means PAs need to keep up-to-date with PA best practice and techniques for working smarter. As assistants, PAs pack their boss’s parachute on a daily basis so it’s important that PAs are given the opportunity to fill any gaps in their knowledge and skills-set. This can only be achieved through regular PA professional training.

Experience Level

The courses detailed in this brochure are taught at intermediate and advanced skills level, as specified above the course outline.
