How to access the learning resources
on Frog
Students can access FROG on Mobile devices using the FROG App or login
to
frog.cockburnjohncharles.org
on a PC/Laptoplogin to frog.cockburnjohn charles.org
Login like you do at school
Your home page
will open Scroll down and click this

All other Homework or other subject work found by clicking here on your FROG student dashboard
Whilst installing the FROG App you will need to enter this during installation To use FROG on a Mobile Phone or Tablet you will need the FROG App
A Student
Click Allow when installing App Click My Dashboard ( need to be connected to WiFi)
Your home page will open, scroll
down and click
Subject emails if you need help The Home Learning Portal will open English, Science, Maths and KS4 PE work is here

Your work will appear as a list, click these to see the details
How to access your files you have
saved at school from home
Click here to open Frog drive This window will open
Your Frog drive will open- this gives you access to your school files
Select Home Drive
All your files and folders are now available to download to your device
Double clicking the file you want to
download will open this window Click here to download the document
The file will be downloaded in the PC/Downloads folder of
your computer
It will also be available in the bottom left hand
Once you have downloaded your file it can be opened in 2 different ways If you have Microsoft Office

Open your work in Frog
If there is a blue bar like
this, click it and file will download to
your device
The file will be downloaded in the PC/Downloads folder
of your computer
The file will also be in the bottom
left hand corner of the screen
Work can now be opened by clicking on the file- it will be opened in your Microsoft Desktop App

Open your work in Frog
If there is a blue bar like
this, click it and file will download to
your device
The file will be downloaded in the PC/Downloads folder
Now go to
www.office.com
and sign into your Office 365 account.

Enter your school email address and password
Once logged into Office 365 your home screen will open
To edit and work with your downloaded file you need to upload it into One Drive
Next navigate to your
Downloads folder and select the file
you wish to upload and use
The file will
automatically upload into your One Drive
and then open. You can now work on the
file you have downloaded
Once the file is uploaded you will be able to work on it.
It will automatically save itself in OneDrive

To open and/or edit some of the work set by your teachers you may need some of the above Microsoft Apps such as PowerPoint or Word. This guide shows how you can use your school email address and password to

This is what OneDrive looks like If you need to upload the documents into Frog so your teacher can have your work you must download the document to
your computer first.

using OneDrive
‘Handing in your work’
Login to Office 365
www.office.com
Open One Drive and locate the document you want to
hand in to your teacher
Then select the document you want to hand in by ticking the document and clicking download
The file will be downloaded in the PC/Downloads folder of
your computer It will also be available in the bottom left hand
Uploading your work into Frog- Handing in your work
Open Frog and find your work then select it
by clicking it Click the upload button
From the window that
open click ‘Choose Files’
Navigate to the downloads area of your computer and select the work you will hand
in
The file will upload.
A green bar and tick tells you the file is uploaded correctly.
This window will appear showing your work under the assignment.
Select ‘Hand In Assignment’
Click Hand In to confirm Once Handed in the Handed In button will disappear and it will say ‘Handed In’

tablet or phone
To use Frog on a mobile device such as a phone or tablet you

If you want to complete your work on your mobile device you may need other Apps.
If you do not want to do your work on your phone then you can use paper instead (however this must be photographed and uploaded into Frog using
the Upload feature when you hand in your work, see video guides 6 an 7)
Office 365 Apps such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel can be downloaded to your device using your school email address and password
If it’s a PowerPoint then download Microsoft PowerPoint If it’s Word Document Download Microsoft Word
To install the Microsoft Apps you need for your phone or tablet Go the App
Store and find the App
you require
Download
1. You can complete the work directly onto the resources the teacher has uploaded. –
You will only be able to do this if you install the correct Apps. For instance if it is a Word Document you must install the Word App.
2. If you can print out the resources from your phone then you can do this and then write on the resources.
3. You can complete the work by looking at the resources on your device and then writing/drawing onto lined/plain paper.
The best way is to upload your work using the file drop option. To do this you will have to save your work to your phone (if you have used the Word or

Then click upload in the file drop/choose files and find the work (stored in your phone and upload it. Next
click ‘hand in’ in at the
bottom of screen
If you have worked on paper then
photograph your work on your mobile device. You can then use the file drop window (as shown) to go to
Upload/Choose Files then locate your photo of your work and click done. Then
click ‘hand in’ in at bottom of the screen
Alternatively you can email your work to the subject email

Common Problems
Please contact the schools subject email addresses if you are having subject problems
There are very few students that are unable to login to Frog. We have
checked all Usernames and Passwords and they are working. All students must be able to login to Frog. It is your responsibility to ensure you can login to
Frog and if there are problems you must tell the school immediately
If you are trying to login to Frog on a mobile device you must use the App-Download this to your phone.
Do not try and login to FrogPlay- This will not work
