TECHBOARD COMMUNICATIONS DIVISION

EMC

TB, ALTERNATIVE COMMUNICATION

EMC▪TB, the newborn TECHBOARD COMMUNICATIONS DIVISION, has been working in the professional telecommunications field for more than 30 years. The core business is focused on design, development and production of professional radio equipment, specializing in repeater stations and transceiver equipment for both fixed and mobile use. Thanks to its in-depth knowledge, in-house development and complete control of both software and hardware, EMC▪TB is able to offer flexible, tailor-made solutions that are particularly suitable for Alternative

Communication needs, that is to say applications where

standard telecommunication systems are unreliable or altogether unavailable.

EMC

TB, EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS

The EMC▪TB high quality and reliable solutions are able to satisfy the most demanding

Emergency needs:

Solutions for customized synchronized and isofrequential networks: EMC▪TB develops networks which relay radio signals over covered widespread areas, insuring a homogeneous coverage of the radio signal. Starting from a single repeater station, EMC▪TB is capable of expanding to an entire network system, without wasting resources.

Integrated solutions: the EMC▪TB products can be integrated with other hardware and/or software systems, such as management devices. On the other hand, the EMC▪TB products are currently being integrated with the DIGIEYE range of DVRs, NVRs and centralization systems designed and developed by SYAC▪TB, TECHBOARD SECURITY DIVISION. The EMC▪TB/ SYAC▪TB video security solutions will meet the demands of end-users (transport, traffic monitoring, police surveillance, military applications, etc.) in need of powerful systems capable of complete videosurveillance and emergency functionalities.

ALTERNATIVE COMMUNICATION & EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS

SUCCESS STORIES

Herein below are described some EMC▪TB applications of wireless networks. The most significant adopted solutions are stellar, tree and ring configurations made of single and/or multi-channels links for national, regional and city coverage, for both voice and data transmission.

Ministry of Interior - Tunisia Civil Defence

Realization of the radio network of the Civil Protection Department of the Republic of Tunisia. Since 1995, date of the project start, the intrinsic modularity of the EMC▪TB PARROT structure has allowed a continuous evolution that still today provides both scalability and constant growing.

The nationwide network supports both voice and data transmission to and from the operation centre in Tunis and from existing terminals throughout the country.

The EMC▪TB PARROT system implemented in Tunisia consists of a nationwide three-channel simulcast network, with single-channel links and backbones.

First Health – 118 - Grosseto - Siena – Arezzo – Voice and data Services

The EMC▪TB network supports all voice radio communication of the 118 Service and the digital signalling that follows the process of intervention.

All site and station information converge to the provincial operation centre, where the remote monitoring system is able to monitor and control the system. Each operation centre has got radioserver systems which handle all the traffic. Besides, the system is able to provide TCP-IP relevant information to standard computer systems in use at the 118 Service. Isofrequency stations are connected with single-channel links.

Civil Defence Marche Region - Backbone WAN to 6.4 GHz 155 Mbit

The Marche Region, in order to improve and optimize the service of communication and data acquisition/processing, has acquired a SDH dorsal extension with 6.4 GHz radio multi-channel links and 155 Mbit capacity. The same multi-channel connections provide a wide area network up to 100 Mbit available in the suburbs and the regional operation centre supporting the physical network.

Autonomous Province of Trento Fire Brigades – RadioServer

The Autonomous Province of Trento Fire Brigades, in order to improve and optimize the service of communication and data acquisition/processing, has acquired a Central Office RadioServer used to manage simultaneously 8 radio channels.

Radio resources are interfaced with the network through dedicated LAN interface (called Voice-to-LAN) and are available for the all operator stations on the network.

The system, through operator stations with a Touch-Screen Dispatcher, allows to monitor radio traffic on multiple channels selected by the operator, record voice calls, listen to audio through Instant Replay function, manage sending, request and reception of GPS coordinates and manage groups and sub-groups of operators.
