Jean Monnet Fellowships at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies are for junior academics at an early stage in their careers. 1. Researcher Exchange Program
The purpose of the Researcher Exchange Programme is to help develop new research links between higher education institutions and research laboratories in the UK and other countries. The link can be in any area of research, including science, engineering, technology, social sciences and humanities. It aims to encourage mobility and internationalism among postdoctoral researchers. The research subject should be a UK priority in its field.

LENGTH: The RXP exchange awards fund short term exchange visits for
postdoctoral researchers to make international connections. This can be a single visit between two weeks and three months duration, or multiple visits.
AMOUNT: The award is to the individual, not the link and cannot exceed £5,000. The awards are for travel and subsistence. A small amount of the award can also be used for consumable equipment, up to £250 although it is expected that the receiving lab will provide most of these resources.

British Academy Visiting Fellowships

Long-term Fellowships
Long-term Fellowships provide young scientists with up to three years of postdoctoral research training in an outstanding laboratory in another country. The third year of the Long-Term Fellowship can be used either for repatriation to the Fellow's country or in the host laboratory. To be eligible, a fellow must either come from or go to a member country (see list on the website. Belgium is a member country). Long-Term Fellows who return to their home country at the end of the fellowship may apply for the competitive Career Development Award. LENGTH: up to three years

Cross-Disciplinary Fellowships
Cross-Disciplinary Fellowships: Cross-disciplinary fellowships are intended for postdoctoral fellows with a Ph.D. degree in the physical sciences, chemistry, mathematics, engineering and computer sciences who wish to receive training in biology. The conditions are the same as for the Long-Term Fellowships.
