Receiving
At a receiving dock, a truck backs up to the door. A driver uses a forklift to pick up a skid of material from the truck. The driver scans the bar codes from the vendor’s shipping labels. Immediately, the receipt is shown as received in MAC-PAC. The truck mount terminal on the forklift directs the driver to cross-dock the goods, move them to inspection, or put them away in the appropriate location. As the goods are stored in the warehouse, the driver scans the location to verify that they have been placed in the correct spot.
The Time Clock
In the work areas, as a shift changes, employees scan their badges as they enter and exit. Department supervisors immediately know who has arrived for their shift. At shift close, the supervisor reviews attendance information, corrects any inconsistent clocks and automatically forwards the information to payroll.
At the Line
At the production line, workers use scanning to tell the system what jobs they are working on and at what time. They begin a job by scanning their employee badge, work order number, operation and work center. At completion, they scan their badge, which tells the system to stop accumulating labor time against the work order and operation.

Picking and Replenishing
The supervisor uses a controller program to manage the priority and assignment of the picks. Scanning the location bar code confirms where the goods were drawn from. The operator monitors activity to maintain appropriate inventory levels. If necessary, inventory is replenished.
Complete Shipping Verification
In the shipping department, a staged order is moved onto a truck with a single scan of the sales order bar code. For additional shipping verification, individual items may be scanned as they enter the truck. Compliance shipping labels can be printed at production or printed at this time. Master labeling is also supported to further reduce scanning.
A Paperless Operation
Cycle counting and physical inventories are no longer performed manually. Each counter is equipped with a wireless device that directs them to parts and/or locations to count.

Viewpoint for MAC-PAC gives you the ability to gather and view complete information about every function on the floor. Each transaction is labeled with a ‘who’, ‘when’ and ‘where’ stamp.
