A 5 month training in France
to find the most appropriate laboratory for the PhD in France. Dedicated to students and professors of partner universities
1 month:
o welcome in Paris, cultural and touristic visits, introduction to the French language o Seminars on the job of researcher in applied research: intellectual property,
patents, cybercrime, management of research funding, ethics and research, …
4 months: research in a French laboratory
o Administrative registration at the school Ecole des Arts et Métiers in Paris o Research internship in a laboratory of a school member of Network “n+i” to
prepare oneself to the Phd in France: to meet with research teams, to discuss research subjects and possible thesis projects, to discover the environment of the future everyday life
Pre-doc program
Goals and outcomes:
o To allow the PhD candidate to estimate the research and thesis work that will be asked during the PhD and to discover the environment in France (accommodation, children education, culture, tourism, …)
o To acquire skills needed for the management of research projects, useful to the future leaders of applied research programs
o To allow the thesis supervisor and the research team to estimate the scientific skills of the candidate, as well as his adaptability to a new environment and to the
laboratory approach to work o Transfer of 30 ECTS credits
o Registration in a doctorate in France
