Specifications for double beam Atomic Absorption Spectrometer

Supply, Installation, Commissioning, Functional Testing, Performance checking and two days operation & maintenance training of Double beam multi element Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) at KAPP-3&4,Gujarat Site for having capability to use both flame and furnace mode of operation from one PC controller with all standard accessories required for smooth instrument function. Following are the minimum specification required.

13 Gas Controls Should be programmable (gas management system) for fuel & oxidant gas.

14 Safety Functions Safety systems should provide indication for main power control, ensure correct operating fuel gas and oxidant pressure are maintained to check flow rate. Control on use of incorrect burner head /Multiple sensors monitoring burner head, siphon system and gas management system (GMS)Automatic ignition and shut down of flame, incl. in case of power outage or gas pressure drop Nebulizer-Burner system with quick-lock for easy replacement.

15 Burner Cleaning System The system should have auto burner cleaning facility OR Easy to operate burner cleaning/Manual cleaning system

16 Heating System Computer-controlled transversely Heated Graphite Furnace system 17 Function Graphite furnace temperature control must provide minimum 9 or more

temperature programme steps.

18 Temperature Programmable temperature up to 3000 °C in 1 °C increment. Maximum heating rate is 2000 °C/s under software control.

19 Gas Flow Graphite furnace design must have separate external and internal gas flows.

20 Cooling system The graphite furnace tube should be cooled efficiently by chiller. 21 Auto sampler for Graphite  Solution dispensing minimum range from 1–50 micro liters.

 Automatic preparation of at least five standards from a bulk standard for standard additions and normal calibrations

 Injection Modes must include automatic dosing of modifiers

 Sample tray must be Corrosion resistant & should have min. sample capacity to hold 80 positions or more.

22 Safety Functions Real-time furnace temperature control and continuous tracking of electronic parameters/ Warning will function when cooling water flow failure, gas pressure over, Furnace temperature to high Graphite tube broken.
