beyond imitationWe recommend to schedule daily maintenance plan in SQL for the exchange@PAM database. In this way the database and log files will be backed up and shrunk down.
To schedule the maintenance plan for exchange@PAM database:
1. Run the Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Manager from Start / Programs / Microsoft SQL server / SQL Server Management Studio.
2. Expand the Microsoft SQL Servers node down to the maintenance plan, e.g. VMXDEMO (SQL Server) / Management / Maintenance Plan.
3. Right-click the Maintenance Plan and from the context menu select Maintenance Plan Wizard to open it. Wizard window opens.
4. Enter the name for your maintenance plan (e.g. pam) and click the Change button to schedule it.
5. The Job Schedule Properties window opens:
In the Schedule type down-drop box select Recurring and check Enabled text box. In the Frequency section set it to run daily (Occurs Daily; Recurs every 1 day(s)). In the Daily Frequency section set the maintenance time in the Occurs once at text box. In the Duration section check the No end date radio button.
