Whether you have seen a car on our website or in our showroom, the steps to buying a car from Motordepot are the same for everyone. For us, it’s not about selling you a car, it’s about our team helping you to buy one.

To do this, our customer advisers will ask you a few questions about your planned purchase, this is to ensure that we fully understand your needs and requirements and we are only recommending vehicles, products and services that we feel are suitable for you and your individual circumstances.

How car buying should be

Find a car you love- Browse online or at one of our branches. Hopefully we can help you find your perfect car.

Part exchange - We’ll take a look at your current car and give you a fair and honest valuation. Even if you don’t buy a car from us - we’d still love to buy yours!

Lowest prices - because our prices are checked daily, there’s no need to haggle. You can be assured you’re already getting our best possible price.

Easy ways to pay- Select your preferred payment method, whether you choose to pay cash or perhaps take advantage of our great value, low rate finance offers such as Motordepot’s SmartDrive PCP with low deposits and lower monthly repayments.

Looking after your car - We can help with a choice of extended warranties, great value service plans, plus our Williams F1 endorsed paint and fabric protection to help keep your car looking like new.

Every car is carefully quality checked to ensure it meets our high standards….if it doesn’t we send it back!

Vehicle preparation and safety check

Our pre-sale inspection identifies any work that may need doing on the car before it goes on display. All work is carried out to manufacturer standards by qualified mechanics using authorised parts.

Looking their best

Before going on display all our cars are meticulously cleaned inside and out to ensure they look as good as they possibly can.

Quality controlled

Every car is quality control inspected to make sure all work has been carried out to our exacting standards and that nothing has been missed.

Model looks

All our cars then have at least 20 high resolution photographs taken and a video to ensure they can be viewed in great detail on our website. They also look great in the flesh on our forecourts.

At the end of your Smartdrive agreement you have three

Part exchange the vehicle and use any equity as a deposit on your next car. Hand the vehicle back to the finance company (subject to terms & conditions).

Buy the car outright by paying the Guaranteed Future Value, either in a lump sum or by way of refinancing.

Option 2 - Hire Purchase Finance (HP)

Over the years HP has been the most popular way to fund the purchase of a new car, you pay a deposit of your choice and the balance is paid monthly, typically over 3, 4, or 5 years. Unlike a variable rate loan, your monthly payments and the rate of interest are fixed over the duration of the agreement. You are able to settle the agreement at any time, if you do the finance provider will calculate any rebate that may be due on payments already made. HP agreements are typically quicker and easier to arrange than a personal loan and because we are paid directly by the finance company it often means you are able to collect your car sooner.

Last but not least a HP agreement is secured on the vehicle not your home like some loans. Consumers with a HP agreement will also have additional protection under the consumer credit act, ask a customer adviser for more details.

Option 3 - Cash

There’s good old cash…although we’d rather you didn’t come in with a bag full of it as there are limits as to how much we can accept! You can pay your balance by bank transfer, debit card, bankers draft or a building society cheque. However all funds must be cleared before you will be able to drive your car away.

Easy ways to pay

Option 1

This is the amount that is reserved until the end of your agreement and takes into account the anticipated mileage, condition and age of the car. This deferred amount can usually help to lower your monthly payments when compared to normal hire purchase finance.

Choose how much deposit you would like to pay, nil deposit is available. If you have a part exchange, we can even arrange cash back.

Choose from a range of flexible monthly payments between 24 and 48 months to suit your budget.

New cars are complex machines with thousands of moving parts. In order to keep your new car running smoothly and efficiently it must be serviced regularly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Don’t take a chance! Failing to service your car correctly may invalidate any warranty you have.

The vast majority of our cars come with the balance of the manufacturer’s warranty as well as our standard 90 day no quibble policy. But it may be that the manufacturer’s warranty doesn’t last for as long as you plan to own

the car. If that’s the case why don’t you consider one of our own Motordepot Drive Assured Warranties?

Covers all major mechanical and electrical faults. Can be taken out for between 1 and 3 years. Can be post-dated to start from the point at which your manufacturer’s warranty expires.

This will ensure that your manufacturer’s warranty and any extended warranty you may have taken out will remain valid and continue to provide cover should the unexpected happen.

Our service plans include three services and a lifetime MOT, this means that for however long you own the car we will MOT it free of charge*

Combining a service plan and warranty could provide you with complete peace of mind, knowing that there shouldn’t be any large unexpected ownership costs in the future.

*Motordepot will pay for the MOT test whilst you own the car. Work required to pass the MOT test would be chargeable and you would be advised in advance.
