Awarded Money Magazine’s “Best Kids’ Savings Account” for Banks 7 years running

Kids’ Bonus Saver

It’s called a Children’s Saving Account, but it is so much more than that. It is also the first step in developing your child’s financial literacy. When you teach your kids about managing money, and how to save, you’re helping them develop good financial habits that can last a lifetime. Education experts say that kids learn best about money between the ages of 8 to 12, so we’ve designed this account especially for the under 15s. There are no fees and charges to eat into their hard earned pocket money or birthday cheques from Nanna, plus we’ll pay interest on it to help it grow faster. If they want to earn some serious interest on their savings, you can link this account to a Bankwest Kids’ Bonus Saver.

Why our Children’s Savings Account

earns an A+

› no access or maintenance fees

› fast parent/guardian access via phone and online banking

› earns credit interest which is calculated daily and paid monthly

› can link to a Bankwest Kids’ Bonus Saver

› available to children under the age of 15

In store savings

Just because you use the internet now, it doesn’t

necessarily mean you want to do all your banking online. Solid Gold Saver allows you to personally manage your account in store. Accounts require a minimum balance of $10,000 to earn interest.

As this is a savings account, not an everyday transaction account, your rate will reduce by 1.00% p.a. for every withdrawal you make in a month. The good news is your account resets to the Solid Gold rate at the start of each new month.

To boost your savings even further, there are no maintenance or transaction fees.

Why you’ll value the Solid Gold Saver

› personally manage your account in store

› cheque access and periodical payments

› access your money with a Bankwest Debit Card

› online banking (view and credit transfers only – not for withdrawals)

› phone banking (for balance and transaction enquiries and to transfer funds to your account from another Bankwest account only – not for withdrawals)
