RetroPod systems have saved many operators hundreds of thousands of dollars in offshore CP retrofit costs. This is achieved by installing an optimized array of sacrificial anode material on bottom, just inside or outside the base of the jacket. This semi-remote location greatly improves current distribu-tion, can be installed by divers or ROVs, and can be installed in less than a quarter of the time it would take to install a single, conventional clamp-on array.
Deepwater Corrosion Services, Inc. is a globally recognized leader in offshore and marine cathodic protection innovation. Our depth of experience is unparalleled in the industry.
RetroClamp provides a method for quickly making an electro-mechanical tie-back connection to a subsea cathodic protection system. Originally designed for pipeline CP retrofit applications, the RetroClamp is now routinely used in a variety of subsea CP retrofit applications.

RetroPod™ RetroClamp™
The VSA (Vertically-Suspended Anode Array) is an im-proved method for direct mounting of anodes to offshore jacket structures. The anodes are suspended vertically, rather than horizontally from susbsea members.
VSA anode arrays are typically used to supplement RetroPod-based CP retrofits; they are not recommended as stand-alone systems.
Advantages of the VSA versus conventional clamp-on arrays
• The VSA reduces mutual interference, providing around 10% more current output
• Safety – the VSA arrays require minimal diver intervention
• Economics – the VSA installation saves about 30%
in installation costs due to reduced cleaning and simplified rigging

VSA™
The Dual Clamp-On anode system is a tried and tested, albeit inefficient method of deploying retrofitted sacrificial anodes to offshore platforms. This is not a system widely recommended by Deepwater Corrosion, but it does have some limited applications, such as high current flow areas, where these anodes would be used in place of our Vertical Suspended Anodes (VSA) to supplement RetroPod systems on large structures.
Given that a demand remains for these systems, Deepwater has optimized the design so as to minimize mutual interfer-ence between anodes, and to provide a reliable, long-term mounting system.

RetroSled and ExpandaSled are optimized pipeline retrofit sled arrays designed for pipelines where anode burial below natural seabed is required or anticipated.
Both sled types are available in standard 15-year and 20-year design life configurations. Sleds are equipped with single or dual RetroClamps to facilitate rapid and reliable tie-back to the pipeline or riser.
While conventional pipeline bracelet anodes are not our specialty, we do have standard sizes available.
