SUPPORTED STUDY
This Diploma has recently been updated to reflect the latest thinking and practice. Guest lecturers, who are expert in their field of dentistry and beyond, provide fresh perspectives on the subject. This part-time course entails eight modules that each covers two days, over the space of two years. The format of the course offers an interactive and less classroom-bound approach. There are no exams on this course and each unit is assessed through assignments designed to enable you to apply your learning to your current working situation.
As a result you will see benefits to your dental practice from the course, throughout the two year duration of the Diploma. With modules held at The Royal College of Surgeons in

Testimonials
“After the Leadership and Management modules on Personal Development and Personnel Resources, I realised there was an aspect of dentistry that I’d completely overlooked for nearly half of my career. I truly believe that the non-clinical aspects of teaching at the Faculty in which I have been involved have enhanced my career satisfaction, my
communication and organisational skills not only for my own benefit but for my staff and most importantly our patients. I would highly recommend this to others. My only regret is that I had not experienced earlier in my career.”
Simon Belford, BDS DipImpDent (RCS Ed), DipImpDent (RCS Eng), FFGDP
“From starting the course very nervously, I was quickly put at ease within the group. The Tutors and guest speakers didn't talk at you, but encouraged discussion, allowing the group to fully interact in a relaxed way. Despite having worked within general dental practice for 30 years, this course opened my eyes to other areas of the profession outside my
experience. The course covered a wide range of topics and the training was delivered in a very informative and engaging way. I have gained a great deal from this course”.
Sue Levett, DHSLM RCS(Eng), DCP and Practice Manager
“A successful combination of dentistry with operational and strategic management, offering a broader look at dentistry”.
