The user friendly document manager provides a summary of actions, allowing users to quickly determine the status of outgoing documents. A number of options are available to resend failed items, select an alternative means of delivery or choose a different recipient all together.

g Portrait and landscape orientation – offering flexibility in document

presentation

g Built-in scheduler – reducing manual processes by automating document distribution

eCONNECT allows users to schedule jobs for automatic transmission when required. For additional cost savings, documents can be scheduled for overnight distribution, taking advantage of off-peak tariffs and making best use of available capacity.

g Role-based user security – ensuring confidentiality of information

The eCONNECT administrator can establish restricted user rights and multiple login / password settings. Additional security features also allow certain fax numbers, such as those with high call tariffs, to be blocked, resulting in total control over document distribution.

g e-Document distribution – saving you time and money and minimising paper waste

Not only does e-document distribution reduce costs and streamline business processes, it also allows you to drastically reduce paper consumption and waste, with an associated positive impact on the environment.

g Status reports / filters – providing visibility of document distribution status

eCONNECT filters via recipients / groups, all items, finished items, unfinished items, successes, failures and pending documents, quickly displaying the specific information you require. Status reports can also be printed for each document sent, providing visibility of your document distribution.

g High volume throughput – increasing document processing speed and

efficiency

Documents are created within minutes and distributed automatically. Overnight, eCONNECT is able to send an unlimited number of emails* and over 400 documents per fax line, offering extremely fast and efficient document distribution.

g Address book facility – enhancing control of recipient information

The eCONNECT address book complements and enhances the contact information stored within your accounting package, providing advanced recipient management options. Contact groups, favoured delivery options and multiple contact details can be specified for each recipient.

(8)

eCONNECT performs fast and efficient e-document distribution (EDD) at the touch of a button. It works by initially retrieving the data extracted from your 3rd party application, such as your accounts package (which can be scheduled to occur automatically) and then translates this into an electronic document, based on the specified document layout (e.g. purchase order, invoice etc.). eCONNECT then routes the document to the specified recipient, using either the address book or your 3rd party application to provide distribution details. The HTML, PDF or TIFF document is then sent via email, fax, print or file transfer.

EDI, the preferred method of transmission for many large retail and commercial organisations, is a highly effective means of linking trading partners. Increasingly, these organisations are insisting that their suppliers and partners communicate with them using EDI.

eCONNECT supports all of the compulsory message standards, including TRADACOMS, EDIFACT, ODETTE and AS2. EDI

com munications can be sent and received by eCONNECT and any incoming messages can be redefined for integration back into your 3rd party application.

With eCONNECT, one of the most user friendly EDI solutions available, implementing EDI capabilities is quick, easy and cost effective.*
