ONbackup® Server Replicator was developed with the protec-tion against loss of data due to catastrophic events in mind. Contrary to classic backup software variations, the Server Replicator was developed for automatic data transfer to secure sites and in this regard represents the perfect complement to a tape backup concept.
Incremental transfer method
The data are encrypted for transfer so that potentially insecure transmission paths (Internet) can be used to regularly transfer your data. Since generally only limited bandwidth is available for data transfers, the software utilizes an incremental transfer method, where the target drive always contains a full backup.
Decentralized backup over narrow bandwidths
ONbackup® Server Replicator is designed for the demands of decentralized backup scenarios over low bandwidths. This way, even newly created files with similar content (backup to disk files, database dumps, etc.) are synchronized incrementally. To preserve bandwidth, the initial backup can be sent to a locally connected mobile storage medium and then manually loaded to the server.

Those who need full security for the backup of company data want to minimize user interaction as much as possible. With the ONbackup® Enterprise Suite, administrators can retain full con-trol over the backups of all devices.
Internationally recognized encryption standard
If desired, the client is invisible to the user and takes care of the data transfers to the server autonomously, as soon as a suitable connection exists between them. For this, ONbackup® Enterprise utilizes the highly efficient block level data synchronization and internationally recognized encryption standards. The data restore can be performed centrally by the administrator as well as inde-pendently by the user (if he or she has the appropriate privileges).
Simple administration
The ONbackup® Enterprise Suite is extremely simple to admini-strate so that it will cost the administrators hardly any time. The ONbackup® Enterprise Client has been kept so simple that, if desired, not even a local installation of the software is necessa-ry. Alternatively, however, the client can also be installed as manually operable software or be implemented as an invisible service, so that all implementation scenarios are covered.

Complete access protection
The ONbackup® Secure Data Collector encrypts all data on the client and transfers only those parts of a file that have changed since the last backup. This secure method works, even though the password for encryption is only known to the end user and is at no time exchanged with the server. Up to six more authentication characteristics can be used additionally to guarantee complete access protection.
