Our private client service
We will find the best way
to help you reach your
goals.
We make sure you stay
on track until you do.
Advice you can trust
Our role as your financial adviser is to fully
understand your aims and ambitions and
to create a strategy that enables you to
achieve your financial goals.
Firstly, we will conduct an in depth analysis of your present financial position, which will include your assets, liabilities and your current and projected cashflow.
By gaining a thorough understanding of your goals; determining, through analysis, your tolerance to risk and your existing planning and future aspirations, we can highlight any gaps or shortfalls you may have. We will also indicate if we are able to provide a strategy to meet your needs; if your planning is on track, we will reassure you that this is the case.
After discussing the results of our analysis, we will deliver a report tailored to your needs. This report will contain recommendations for you to consider at the outset and over a defined period. As financial advisers, we are able to source the entire market for potential solutions.
At an early stage, we will set out our associated costs, which will be determined by a number of factors, such as:
• The time taken
• The complexity and associated risk
• The qualifications and experience of your consultant
• The scope of the advice in relation to your overall circumstances Five steps to achieve your financial goals - we’ll guide you all the way: • Initial meeting
• Financial Survey
• Advice and recommendations • Implementation
• Ongoing services
As we complete each step we will always seek your approval before moving on to the next step.

Step one – Initial meeting
During your initial meeting with one of our
qualified consultants, we will explain our
services and how we work.
We will:
• Explain how we operate within the financial services regulatory framework
• Provide a Curriculum Vitae of your consultant, stating their qualifications and relevant experience
• Listen, so we understand your financial and personal goals • Answer any relevant questions that you have on financial planning • Gather your financial information and analyse your tolerance to risk • Agree on future service standards that are most appropriate for your
circumstances
By the end of this initial meeting, our aim is that you will understand our advice process and have a clear understanding of what you can expect from us. We will agree on the scope of advice that you are expecting and the basis upon which we will be remunerated. We will ask you to sign an Engagement Letter to confirm your agreement to move to the next stage(s). At any stage where costs will be incurred, we will give prior notice and seek your approval.
Step two - Financial Survey
Once all of the relevant financial
information has been brought together,
we will review and assess your current
financial situation against your future
financial objectives.
We will provide you with a Financial Survey report that will include: • A review of your current financial situation in relation to your objectives • A review of your budgeting and a projection of your future net wealth • Areas of financial planning where a lack of existing planning might leave
you exposed to potential risk
• Any gaps where your existing planning falls short of your objectives • An assessment of your current Income Tax and Inheritance Tax position • A review of your current savings and investments, tested against your
tolerance to investment risk, discussed at the initial meeting • An outline of the potential solutions to achieving your objectives The Financial Survey covers the following areas:
• Budgeting
• Savings and investments • Pensions
• Estate planning • Protection
• Mortgages / personal debt
Our next step is to discuss with you how the Financial Survey can be used to provide tailored solutions that meet your financial and personal goals. We offer bespoke analysis reports in the areas of investment and retirement planning. Drawdown analysis is available for those clients who have already opted for drawdown as a means of receiving their pension.
Planning your financial path
Step three - Advice & recommendations
We will provide you with a detailed report
with recommendations on how best to
proceed.
Our report will:
• Outline what action should be taken in order to improve your financial situation
• Tell you which solutions we recommend as the most suitable • Explain the potential benefits and risks associated with any particular
course of action
• Detail any appropriate charges
• Be individually tailored to your specific needs and circumstances In preparing our report we use the latest market research. Our scale and resource allows us to review all potential solutions and our consultants are skilled in planning for your future.
Our approach to investment planning creates efficiencies through portfolio modelling.
This enables us to analyse and recommend the appropriate asset allocation for your portfolios.
The range of our advice is extensive and may include cash deposits, tax planning, retirement planning, savings and investments and protection. If you require more specialist advice, we have dedicated in house teams to assist and for areas such as legal and accounting advice, we can put you in touch with our trusted partners. This ensures you have everything you need at your fingertips, ensuring stress free financial planning.
We will seek your approval to implement these recommendations, which may be addressed immediately or we may agree on a strategy to meeting your objectives over a defined period of time. As before, we will gain your instructions and set out any associated costs.
Step four – Implementation
Once agreed, we will then implement
the solutions within your Advice and
Recommendations report.
This involves:
• Processing application forms and payments • Keeping you advised on progress
• Dealing with any plan providers
• Managing the underwriting process (where applicable)
• Setting up records of your existing plans and any implemented recommendations
Planning your financial path
Step five – Ongoing service
Our approach is to ensure you receive the
services you require.
As needs and budgets vary, we have developed a menu based approach. We have five service levels for clients, which are explained in our Client Service Agreement and provide a level of ongoing service.
We recommend that your planning is reviewed at least once a year, so that we can re-test planning against your objectives and take account of prevailing or changing circumstances. At this time you can choose to update your Financial Survey and revalue your investments and other assets. As a minimum clients will be offered our half-yearly magazine Aspire and will qualify to be part of our professional Alert Programme. This is an ongoing programme where we may periodically contact you when we have identified that a particular investment, change in legislation or circumstances requires your review, to ensure that it still meets your needs.
Our services and costs
We pride ourselves in being clear and
completely transparent in the way we
work.
Our charges are 100% fee based and transparent – so we won’t undertake any chargeable work without your prior agreement. We provide an initial consultation at our expense and you are under no obligation to proceed. If you would like us to continue providing your advice, we will send you a Statement of Engagement, which gives you a quotation of our costs for the advice being requested and we ask that you sign and return this to us as your confirmation to proceed.
You are always in control of the process. Once we have provided our advice, we will seek your permission to implement any recommendations we have made.
After any transactions have been finalised, you will be provided with ongoing services that are set out in our Client Service Agreement.
