A Diploma contains the following information:

 the name of qualification

 main field of study

 concentration

The following courses with earned grades are listed in Diploma:

 compulsory and elective courses in the frame of Basic Curriculum

 optional courses and other courses besides the Basic Curriculum

 courses included in Individual Study Plan that were studied in other educational

institutions and in other languages

Conditions for Earning a Diploma with Distinction

Diplomas with Distinction are awarded to students who:

 have only good and excellent (no less than 75 % of the total) marks for all examinations, which they passed while studying at the

university,

 have passed the state examination perfectly, and

European Diploma Supplement

European Diploma Supplement :

 is given to all HSE graduates

 contains the information in both English and Russian

 contains additional information about the University, Russian education system, qualification and skills set gained, opportunities for further study

A student is subject to expulsion:

 for three and more academic failures

 for failure to pass final state attestation

 for violation of the University Charter and Internal Regulations

 for failure to fulfill the terms of contract for paid education Reasons for the expulsion from the University

Every student of HSE has the Individual Study Plan.

It contains a specific set of course units to be studied this

academic year.

A student may choose any elective and optional courses he/she

likes from the Annual Approved Curriculum.

A choice should be made in specific time frame (in June or in

September).

Some courses may have prerequisites.

A Special Individual Study Plan is provided for the students:  that have up to 2 failed academic assignments

 transferring from one educational programme to another

 that were re-established at the University after a dismissal

 transferred from another higher education institution

 entering the University to the second year and beyond

 studying at another higher education institution at the same time

 transferring to accelerated educational programme

 participating in the international academic mobility programme

System) is the University’s online

system for delivering subject

content to students.

LMS is used for:

• provide online versions of class materials and

readings

• be aware of the latest news and updates

• interact with teacher and other students

• to give you extended content such as multimedia

files, screencasts etc.

• to conduct online tests and surveys
