IMPROVE YOUR REALITY!

The 36th International Bunker Conference (IBC) will meet in Oslo 22-24 April 2015. BI Norwegian Business School is proud to confirm that IBC 2015 is supported by the industry and has remained a proactive forum since its introduction in 1979.

The headline for IBC 2015 is “Improve your Reality!” This year we will focus on what has happened after 1 January 2015 and all the challenges and consequences around the update of the regulations. If you were a first mover, how did it go? If you were a late mover, what are your choices? We will also look into lessons learned in the aftermath of bunker industry turmoil.

Oscarsborg Fortress is situated on the fjord of Oslo and has had the important function of defending the seaward approach to the capital. With its strategic location on an island, Oscarsborg Fortress is a very popular tourist destination, with its own marina and great biological diversity.

When we arrive at Oscarsborg, we will get an aperitif and a presentation of the fortress’ history given by one of the official guides. Afterwards we welcome you to a three course seated dinner.

CONFERENCE CHAIRMAN

Keith Forget, Marine Fuels Consultant in S K Forget Ltd, will chair IBC 2015.

Keith was employed by Shell for 40 years until his retirement from Shell Marine Products in 2009. He continued in the maritime business as an independent marine fuels and lubricants consultant. Keith was an active member of the CIMAC heavy fuels working group and was an advisor to the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency delegation during the development of the revised MARPOL Annex VI – 2009 edition.
