stenca Light-Weight Panel is a very exclusive and high quality hard core panel system. it is an innovative con-cept of ultra-light, non-combustible panel material for in-dustrial plants, refineries, shipbuilding and offshore use.

the panels offer a considerable weight saving over similar bulkheads, because it consists of a calcium silicate core with very low weight. Full comply with the requirements of Marine equipment Directive (MeD). Likewise, the pan-els are produced in accordance with the requirements of international conventions sOLas and with Resolution a754 (18) of international Maritime Organization (iMO). Can be used for several purposes like internal fire pro-tection and are ideal as ceiling- and wall panels, or they

can be used as fire blast walls indoors and outdoors. The panels have also noise reduction capabilities.

Light-Weight Panels are made of calcium silicate plates with different surfaces, which are pressed on a sandwich element. the core material has a density of only 290 kg/ m3, which is about half as much as comparable

non-com-bustible panel material.

the panels can be supplied with decorative surfaces, such as laminate, aluminium, stainless or galvanized steel etc., according to the thickness of the panel and the demanded characteristics.

B15 Panel is a very light fire protection panel for bulk-head. On each side there can be applied high pressure laminate (hPL) with thickness from 0,8 mm to 1,2 mm, which comply fully with the requirements of Marine equip-ment Directive (MeD).

A60 Panel is a very thin and light fire protection panel for bulkhead and deck. it is pre-bonded with steel on two sides with thickness from 0,6 mm to 0,8 mm.

On request the panels can also be processed to custom-er requirements, e.g. decorative hPL laminates, papcustom-er, glass tissue, veneers, plywood, steel sheets or aluminium sheets.

dimension

Other panel sizes can be made on customer request.

handling and storage

stored dry, shielded from sun, chill and water. During the handling and working process of the panels, particular

at-tention is required to the edges and to the corners of the single panel. the panel has to maintain in plain position, horizontal and well supported, to avoid flexion. Single panel must stand in straight position for avoiding struc-tural damages - also in the installation phase.

production of panels

the core consists of calcium silicate. the material is pro-duced of plates in different thicknesses at one produc-tion plant, and is afterwards send to the panel producproduc-tion plant. here the panels are being prepared for the gluing process. the surfaces are glued on the panels on a spe-cially gluing process system, which insures the surfaces and panel are fitted perfectly together, which makes the panels very strong.

Panel fixing and connection

installation of the panels has to be done on site. the pan-els have to be mounted in top and bottom profiles. Panpan-els with tong and groove (t&g) shall be glued together along the sides with an adhesive, to ensure a closely and fire safe jointing.
