Course Load
Students are required to take minimum of 9 credits to a maximum of 18 credits per semester. One course usually consists of 3 credits with 3 classroom hours per week, with the exception of Korean Language courses. Students are encouraged to register for 15 to 18 credits per semester.
Exams
Absolute Evaluation for exchange students (no curve). Students are required to stay until the end of the scheduled exams. No special early exams or resits available.
Grading
Ewha's grading system : A+, A, A-/ B+, B, B-/ C+, C, C-/ D+, D, D-/ and F (Full Score = 4.3) A : excellent; B: above average; C: average; D: pass; F: fail (0 credit)
Others: Student will receive a grade of "W" if he/she withdraws from the course. A student will receive a grade of "F" if he/she fails to attend classes without officially withdrawing from the course.
4. Application (Office of International Affairs | University-wide Admission system)
1. Requirements
• Length of Study : One Semester / One Year
• GPA : All students are required to have a GPA of over 2.5/4.0 (= 75 % academic grade)
Language: English proficiency equivalent to TOEFL iBT 91 or TOEIC 860 is recommended. 2. Application Period
• Fall semester: April 15 – May 15, Spring semester: October 15 – November 15 Late application will not be accepted; absolutely no exceptions.
3. Procedure
Step 1. Create an account at the online application site for Exchange or Visiting students at: http://eureka.ewha.ac.kr/eureka/hs/sd/index.do
※ Application site is only available at Windows / Internet Explorer version above 8.0 Step 2. Save the application (don’t submit yet) in order to activate the upload buttons Step 3. Upload all documents needed for the application and press the submit button. ※ Once you submit, you won’t be allowed to revise your application.
Step 4. Carefully check the status of your application until it is confirmed. Step 5. Receive the admission packet sent out via express mail.
Step 6. Send checklist and Overseas Health Insurance Certificate. Step 7. Come to Ewha!
All applications should be submitted online only. Before pressing the submit button, make sure to verify every information has been input correctly.
4. Application Documents
Applying students are to submit the following documents and materials during the online application process. Please be informed that all documents must be prepared in either in English or Korean, in a JPG or PDF format. (Face photograph: JPG only)
Face photograph
Photographs should be in 3x4 cm size, scanned and saved in a JPG format only. Official Academic Transcript
Transcripts should be scanned and saved in a JPG or PDF format. A transcript which states the total GPA score for the whole study period needs to be submitted. If the home institution does not have a GPA system, a signed official letter from the international office guaranteeing that the applicant’s academic achievement is over 75% needs to be submitted with the official academic transcript.
Health & Medical Clearance Form
Upon completion by a doctor, it should be scanned in a JPG or PDF format. (Downloadable at the online application site)
Passport copy
Please copy the first page which has your name and passport number “clearly”. Should also be scanned and saved in a JPG or PDF format.
5. Other Information
Fees
After receiving admission from the Office of International Affairs, students will be given an invoice at the orientation held before the start of the semester. The invoice will include the tuition fee and other mandatory or optional fees for each individual student, to be paid within one week from the start of the semester. All fees may be paid directly at the OIA office, at the on-campus Shinhan Bank, or through wire transfer. No personal checks or credit cards will be accepted.
• Mandatory: On-campus Health Center Fee 20,000 KRW (per semester, non-refundable) • Optional: Housing Administration Fee 60,000 KRW (non-refundable)
Dormitory Housing Single Room: App. 1,800,000~2,700,000 KRW (per semester) Double Room: App. 1,230,000~1,600,000 KRW (per semester) * All costs above are subject to change without prior notice.

Single or Double rooms are available on campus. Dorm applications can be done along with the online application for exchange program. On-campus housing is not fully guaranteed, and will be provided on
