Cbeyond Communicator for TotalCloud Phone System for Mobile (Android)
Cbeyond Communicator for Mobile (Android) extends TotalCloud Phone System (TCPS) calling capabilities to an Android Smartphone.
Cbeyond Communicator is an intuitive graphical user interface or “softphone” that gives employees the freedom to use their Android Smartphone to make voice calls from work, home or on-the-road. Quality of service is not guaranteed over a public Internet connection or over a mobile phone line.

System Requirements
Android 2.3, 3.2, and Android 4 device currently on the market today and the following Cbeyond BeyondMobile devices:

Enable Communicator for Mobile and Collect the Seat Username and Password Please note the steps to follow:
For Cbeyond Online Administrative Users:
Step 1 > Log into CbeyondOnline.
Step 2 > Mouse over SERVICES on top navigation bar.
Click on Calling Features from the drop down menu.
Log in to Cbeyondonline.com and
toggle Communicator"On"
Reset Seat Password
Download Communicator
Install Communicator
Enter Username and Reset
Seat Password
Step 3 > Click on Number Settings from the left Menu.
Select Communicator.
Step 4 > Select your TCPS Seat/Extension to which you are adding the Communicator. Note: the Seat must already have the Executive Feature Set.
Step 5 > Toggle “On” Communicator for Mobile.
For Cbeyond Online Employee Users:
Step 1 > Log into CbeyondOnline.
Step 2 > From the Access My Services section:
Click on Calling Features.
Step 3 > Click on Number Settings from the left Menu.
Step 4 > Select Communicator. If applicable, choose the line or seat to which you are adding the Communicator from the Your Number drop down.
Employee users may only have a single option that is auto-selected.
Step 5 > Toggle “On” Communicator for Mobile.
All Users:
Step 6 > Click on Save.
Step 7 > Click Reset Password [If you don’t know your password, you must reset your password. You will need this to successfully login to the app.]
Reset Password takes you to the User Profile page.
Step 8 > Scroll to Seat Username and Password and Reset Password on your seat if you do not already know it. The Seat Username and Password are needed to log into the Communicator application on your Android Smartphone.
Click Save.
Step 9 > Download Cbeyond Communicator for Android from Google Play using your Android Smartphone. In Google Play, search for Cbeyond and select Cbeyond Communicator.
Step 10 > Launch the Cbeyond Communicator app and Enter the Seat User Name and Password that you collected from a previous step. Tapping either the username or password fields opens the virtual keyboard. When both fields are filled, the Sign-in button is available.
The following is a list of the Login window fields:
Password –This is a text field with password masking.
Show password –This check box is unchecked by default. If checked, the typed password appears instead of just stars. This is reset to “unchecked” each time a new login is attempted.
Remember password –This is a check box, which allows the password entered to be saved for any future login attempts.
Sign in automatically –This is a check box, which is only available if user name and password are provided. It is
“unchecked” by default. This can only be enabled if Remember Password is checked.
Sign in button – Once a valid Seat Username and Password are entered, click Sign in to use the Cbeyond Communicator (this requires a data connection).
If Remember password is not checked, the Seat Password must be entered each time the app is launched. If Remember password is checked, then this screen is shown with all credentials automatically filled.
Step 11> Configure the Mobility feature and other outbound calling options by clicking the menu button of the Android phone and selecting Settings > Call Settings > Mobility settings.
Step 12 > Click Mobile Phone menu option, enter the 10 digit mobile phone number and click Set to save the changes.
Step 13 > Select the Mobility option and enable the Mobility feature. While enabled, incoming calls to your TCPS Seat will also be routed to your mobile phone line. Disable the Mobility to prevent incoming calls from being routed to your mobile phone line.
Step 14 > Select Phones To Ring and make the change setting to Both. Incoming calls will be ring to both the physical desk phone and the mobile phone line at the same time.
NOTE: Change this setting to Mobile if you do not have a physical desk phone and will only use Communicator for Mobile for making and receiving calls as your TCPS Seat.
Step 15 > Click the back (or escape) button on the Android phone to return to the Call Settings menu. Select Outgoing Calls and choose Calls placed via call-through service. This enables Outgoing calls made with Communicator to be made using an outbound call from your mobile phone line while giving the caller ID of your TCPS Seat.
