Adding N ew Clients to Your Account

As a reseller you have the ability to self provision new accounts at anytime with your administrative access. The following steps will show you the easiest way to add a new client below your reseller account.

Adding Orgs with a Unique Mail Server (Clients with their own Mail Server)

1. After you are logged into the System Administration of your Google Message Security Reseller Account, click on the Show Hierarchy link found on the left side of your blue menu bar. A new window will open showing your account structure.

2. Go to your Hierarchy a click on the very Top Level, which should be either Your Company Account or

Your Company Main . You will notice after you select your Top Level in your Hierarchy that the main

interface of Postini will change.

3. Go back to the main interface of Postini and you will now see a N ew Org box on the left side (see below).

4. Within the N ew Org box type Client s Company N ame Mail Server , the click the Add button. After you click Add you will be automatically routed to the new org you just created. The dark grey bar below your blue menu bar should now say, Organization Management - Client s Company N ame Mail Server .

5. Scroll down your page until you find the General Settings link below the Organization Settings section and click on it to access your General Settings.

6. Within your General Settings screen you will find a settings option for *Email Config Org Type . Click

on the dropdown arrow and select Yes , then click Save at the bottom of the screen.

7. After clicking Save you will be automatically routed back to the main page of the Mail Server Org you just created. You can always verify where you are within your account by looking at the dark grey bar below the blue menu bar, it should now read Organization Management Client s Company N ame Mail Server .

8. Select the Inbound Servers tab found on your top blue menu bar.

9. Next, click the Delivery Mgr link found in your blue menu bar.

10. Next, click on Edit found in your dark grey bar below your blue menu bar. This is we you will tell Postini where to deliver your new org s email by their Hostname or IP (ip preferred). After you add the Hostname or IP click the Submit button below.

11. Go back to your Hierarchy, if you do not see the new company s Mail Server org you just created simply refresh your Hierarchy. Once you see the new company s Mail Server org click on the link. You will be routed back to the main screen of the new company s Mail Server org and once again you will see the N ew Org box.

12. Within the N ew Org box type Client s Company N ame Users , the click the Add button. After you click Add you will be automatically routed to the new org you just created. The dark grey bar below your blue menu bar should change and now say, Organization Management - Client s Company N ame Users .

13. Next, click the Domains link found in your blue menu bar. This will route you to the Domain

Management page. On the right side of the page you will find a link that says Add Domain , select that link. Within the box next to N ew Domain N ame enter the domain name (do not add www.), then click the Save button.

15. On the Users page you will find an link on the right side of your page just below your blue menu bar that says Add/ Delete/ Move Users . Click on that link and you will see a large white input box. This is where you will add users that will receive filtered mail.

16. Enter the users in the input box. You can add them individually or in bulk. If you are adding them in bulk then only a single user account can be entered per line as show below in the example. After your users are entered into the input box select the Add Users button.

**N OTE: If you check the Welcome users upon creation box prior to selecting the Add Users button, then each user you are adding will receive a Welcome Message from Postini immediately with their login credentials to their own individual Message Center. If you do not check the box, each user will receive a welcome message within 24 hours.

17. Now that you have the users added to the system you can proceed with the final step, modifying the DNS. For an example of how the MX records should look please refer to your original Welcome Message, Section 4:

2. Go to your Hierarchy and click on the the appropriate Mail Server Org that contains the Hostname or IP where you client s mail should be delivered. You will notice that after you select the appropriate Mail Server Org in your Hierarchy that the main interface of Postini will change.

3. Go back to the main interface of Postini and you will now see a N ew Org box on the left side (see below).

4. Within the N ew Org box type Client s Company N ame Users , the click the Add button. After you click Add you will be automatically routed to the new org you just created. The dark grey bar below your blue menu bar should change and now say, Organization Management - Client s Company N ame Users .

**N OTE: This dark grey bar will let you know which org level you are on at all times.

6. Now that the domain is added you can add the actual users. Click on the Users link in the blue menu bar to be routed to the page where you will add each user.

7. On the Users page you will find an link on the right side of your page just below your blue menu bar that says Add/ Delete/ Move Users . Click on that link and you will see a large white input box. This is where you will add users that will receive filtered mail.
