The Quest for Excellence

With the brilliance of the ever-illuminating Sun as our

inspiration, we have created the

, an offering

which promises insights that will illuminate and open up the

world of metals!!

P.D. Pant (Managing Director)

Metal Power was founded in 1987 with the aim of bringing to the market high-end technology products in the fields of Analytical Equipment & Systems and Metallurgical Instruments. In the years since, we have developed a wide and ever-expanding range of sophisticated Analytical and Metallurgical products. Today the Company boasts over 25 years of experience serving the needs of the ferrous and non-ferrous metals industries and is well-recognized in the global market with a rapidly expanding footprint that already spans more than 30 countries globally. With more than two decades of experience in the field of CCD-based Optical Emission Spectrometers, we are unrivalled in our expertise and offer a wide product range to cater to a diverse set of customer needs. The common denominator across our range remains our commitment to delivering the highest quality of analyses while also offering the lowest cost per analysis over the product's lifecycle.

Surya is the latest and most sophisticated in our expanding range of spectrometers, a result of our meticulous and sustained R&D efforts. The instrument uses time-resolved spectroscopy and breakthrough optics and applications design to deliver a range of features such as sol-insol analysis, analysis of pure metals for low level trace elements and low level analysis of Oxygen, Nitrogen and Hydrogen.

Its multi-CCD optics design selects the optimal lines from 120-800 nm and delivers industry-leading performance including trace analysis to detect the lowest of concentrations. With an analytical capability across 40+ elements and more than 11 bases, Surya delivers performance that meets the most stringent of analytical requirements across metals industries.

Apart from routine applications for analysis of metals and their alloys, we also offer specialized applications including high purity metals, as-cast cast iron, analysis of thin foils, special tool steel, wires, rings, coins, pig iron and several more. We also develop custom applications on

1 demand to meet specific customer requirements .

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation.

We do not act rightly because we have virtue or

excellence, but we rather have those because we

have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do.

Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Single Vendor Solution

Apart from Spectrometers, Metal Power also manufactures a

wide range of allied products like Grinders, Long-Life

Sampling Moulds, Sample Adaptors, Certified Reference

Materials (CRMs) and Setting-Up Samples (SUS) for

Atomic/Optical Emission Spectrometers.

Sample Surface Preparation Machines

Compact, non-polluting, low noise and handy machines for surface preparation of ferrous and non-ferrous metal samples. These machines have an auto grit-collection system and can grind sparking electrodes concentrically and with the desired cone angle.

Certified Reference Materials (CRMs)

Metal Power assures the highest quality across various grades of Ferrous and non-Ferrous Alloy Standards in solid form. Metal Samples are manufactured

using advanced techniques for achieving homogeneity. Our range includes CRMs that are typically considered difficult to make, such as Cast Iron, S.G. Iron and Aluminium Standards.

We follow ILAP (Inter-Laboratory Accreditation Programme), have systems in place as per ISO-17025 for testing and follow ISO guidelines 30-35 in the manufacturing of CRMs. Each CRM is accompanied by a Test Certificate giving Certified Elemental Values, Standard Deviations and Uncertainty. ILAP Values are provided too.

Remote Transmission and Display Station

In Large Foundries and Steel Plants, the Melting Platform and the Laboratory are quite often removed from each other in terms of distance. These distances could be as much as a few hundred metres. In such a case, the Melters either need a remote

display to mirror the Laboratory's results or need to wait for results to be communicated before they can decide how much of alloying elements to add/reduce. The RTDS enables the immediate display of all required elements at the Melting Platform.

Wire Adaptors

Metal Power Wire Adaptors are designed, to analyze wires and wire rods from 2.2mm to 13mm in diameter.

Sample Preparation Mould

A range of sample preparation moulds are available for sampling from the furnace/ladle. The choice of mould depends on the molten metal to be sampled.
