Caribbean. This family business began in 1981 and serviced over 1,500 salons in the southern market of Florida. During this time, Elite developed into a leading beauty distributor in this highly competitive marketplace. Held exclusive distribution rights in South Florida for Paul Mitchell Salon Hair Care; distributed high-quality nail and spa brands, including O.P.I. and Essie nail care.

Operations, Leadership, and Management

 Scope of diverse executive leadership duties included operations management, sales, marketing, human resource, and staff development. Led a team of 25+ employees.

 Developed and maintained superior customer relations resulting in 25% market penetration across South Florida.  Developed training manuals for all departments of the business and trained supervisors to execute ideas into

action.

 Developed annual educational and reward programs to maximize the performance of outside sales force, customer service, showroom staff and warehouse team: attained companywide 80% retention rate within each department for 2 + years.

 Introduced incentives to drive long-term, strategic market position and growth: averaging yearly growth of 15%. Sales Training and New Business Development

Marketing

 Developed a Caribbean sub-distribution chain of outlets throughout six islands and coordinated an educational and marketing plan within each island to distribute Paul Mitchell Salon Haircare to the local salon market generating a collective yearly average of sales of 750,000 with a yearly 10% growth.

 Developed three wholesale beauty supply stores throughout the South Florida region as professional product and educational outlets for stylists generating a collective yearly average of sales of 700,000 with a yearly 12% growth.

Fundraising

 Established a multitude of grassroots campaigns throughout 20-year career to involve salons in local community and charitable events. In 2006, created ElitePinkMiami-an on-going fundraising campaign in memory of mother for breast cancer research. To date, campaign has generated 280,000 in funds with all money raised donated to Susan G Komen for the Cure® breast cancer organization.
