Staff Development Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP)

Provide annual crisis management training, CPR and First Aid programs.

Provide quarterly training including schedule for Focus and Atlas software and Microsoft Office and current and new technology and software including refresher training and training of new employees.

Improve and implement new employee

orientation program.

GOAL

Design, develop and implement professional development programs, annual performance

based evaluation; hiring and orientation based on the school’s focus areas, school

improvement processes, and curriculum priorities.

GOAL

All full-time faculty will have a minimum of a four-year degree with a major in their teaching discipline or a four-year degree with a minimum of eighteen semester units of

undergraduate or graduate courses within their teaching discipline.

Develop and offer mentor programs to new teachers (Santa Cruz New Teacher project).

Champion Committee.

• All full-time faculty will hold state teaching

credentials. • Teacher salary scale. PLTs.

At least 30% of the full-time faculty will have earned a masters degree in their teaching discipline.

• Tuition reimbursement.

All full-time faculty will have & follow a written plan for professional

development, including contributions to their discipline or teaching methods outside the classroom.

Repeat Staff Needs Assessment annually and report results to Cabinet and Champion

Committee.

Develop highly qualified faculty. Professional Certificate ACSI

(SMART goals).

All adjunct faculty will have a four-year degree with at least eighteen semester units in their teaching field, with at least half of the part-time faculty also holding a certificate.
