PHPro has created several modules for Magento, some are free for the community, some need to be bought. We get inspired by trends in the e-commerce world and ideas from existing customers.
As an intern you will be assigned to a new module. Together with one of our e-commerce consultants you will work out a general idea for a new module. After this, you will be assigned the development of this module from start to end.
Meaning you will need to talk to developers and Magento experts about what is possible and what is the best way to create your mod-ule. You will write a document explaining what the module will do and create wireframes accordingly.

platform setup. Nowadays merchants want a single master data view on customers and products. The first is often managed in a CRM platform, the latter in a PIM platform.
You will have to setup and connect Magento (e-commerce platform) with OroCRM (CRM platform) and Akeneo (PIM platform). All of these platforms are PHP Open Source. Together with an e-commerce consultant you will work out important business flows that merchants

r u pa lFor our CMS projects we highly rely on Drupal as the proven platform for content management systems. Drupal helps us build everything from personal blogs to enterprise applica-tions. Thousands of add-on modules and designs let you build any site you can imagine.
Most of our Drupal developers are Acquia Certified. Currently a lot of research is being done on Drupal 8.
Drupal 8 is in development, with no set release date yet. The work on Drupal 8 is divided into categories, called Core initia-tives: Mobile, Layouts, Web Services, Configuration Manage-ment, Multilingual, and HTML5.
For Drupal we are currently doing research on Drupal 8. This release is expected during the upcoming months/year. More specifically we want to upgrade the Drupal 7 website of one of our clients as a tryout – business case, in order to establish a good base for the future. As an intern you will dig into the existing functional, perform a technical analysis and do research in the first place on how to upgrade to Drupal 8.
The following step will be to fully transform the Drupal 7 site to a Drupal 8 installation. This means not only Drupal ‘core’ research & development, but also upgrading popular modules.
So you will have to analyze, discuss with the project manager, with the lead developer, … in order to realize the end goal : a fully working Drupal 8 website. One of the lead developers will assist you in this.

u sto m d e v e lo p m e n tFaradoo is a great tool for a company to manage the skills and planning of their talent pool. Faradoo is an application developed and used by PHPro and other Cronos companies. Faradoo’s goal is to help companies manage the skills, profiles and planning of their people. At this moment it is in the process of becoming a product that people can buy and immediately start using by registering on the Faradoo website.
It is a multi-tenant environment where Docker allows us to easily start up new instances of Faradoo for other Cronos companies or customers. Faradoo is a great project for internships seeking experience in custom web application development using Symfony or AngularJS.
For Faradoo we are continuously improving the product and working on new features. As an intern you will be assigned one of more new features, which you would have to analyze, discuss with the project manager, with the lead developer, …
As soon as the feature has been worked out in functional specifications, you will need to develop the feature, with the help of a lead developer.
