Abstract: Dermatology is a one of major session of medicine that concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases. Skin diseases are the most common form of disease in humans. Recently, many of researchers have advocated and developed the imaging of human vision or in the loop approach to visual object recognition. This research paper presents a development of a skin diseases diagnosis system which allows user to identify diseases of the human skin and to provide advises or medical treatments in a very short time period. For this purpose, user will have to upload an image of skin disease to our system and answer questions based on their skin condition or symptoms. It will be used to detect diseases of the skin and offer a treatment recommendation. This system uses technologies such as image processing and data mining for the diagnosis of the disease of the skin. The image of skin disease is taken and it must be subjected to various preprocessing for noise eliminating and enhancem ent of the image. This image is immediately segmentation of images using threshold values. Finally data mining techniques are used to identify the skin disease and to suggest medical treatments or advice for users. This expert system exhibits disease identification accuracy of 85% for Eczema, 95% for Impetigo and 85% for Melanoma.

We conducted a prospective study to test the ability of this system to offer consultation on patients with pediatric rheumatic diseases. Case histories of consecutive patients seen by one of the authors (B.H.A.) at either the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia or at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children were entered into the AI/RHEUM case entry screens after the initial visit. Most of the patients had a few laboratory data elements available from the referring physicians. Some had none. Six of the patients were from Brazil and were entered by a pediatric rheumatologist from that country. All patients except the 6 from Brazil had a follow-up period of 2 months to 1 year to confirm or reject the diagnosis.

This paper presents a novel intelligent system for diagnosing some of humans' respiratory diseases. The proposed system aims to simulate the real medical diagnosing ‎ processes. It was adopted in diagnosis on two main parts; knowledge base (KB) and ‎ image processing (IP). This paper combines two diagnostic methods; the decision tree (DT) method which used J48 algorithm in WEKA 3.7, and the gray level co- occurrence matrix (GLCM) method for extracting second order statistical texture features of chest x-ray images. The weighted ‎ euclidean distance ‎‎ (WED) algorithm was used for feature matching. The final decision calculated by probability measure method for independent events, which is depending on "multiplication rule". The proposed system implemented via visual studio.net 2017; used for designing the main graphical user interface (GUI), MATLAB17; used for image processing diagnoses, and LabVIEW17; used for knowledge base diagnoses. The obtained results show that there is a ‎ good agreement between expert's diagnoses and proposed system diagnoses with a high accuracy.

A RCHITECTURE OF THE PROPOSED SYSTEM Our proposed system, Expert System for Diagnosis of Neuromuscular Diseases, is a rule based expert system which is implemented using Java Expert System Shell (JESS). The system makes use of backward chaining for the inference engine and uses the RETE algorithm to search the knowledge base. The system has a graphical user interface where the user finds two windows, where one is an interactive window and other is the recommendation window. The user is presented with a series of questionnaire in the interactive window which the user has the option to answer in yes or no. The set of questions are prepared according to the symptoms shown by patients of neuromuscular diseases. Now, according to the feedback given by the patient, the RETE algorithm searches the knowledge base for possible pattern matches. If there is a rule in the knowledge base which matches the symptoms of the patient, the system shows the possible diagnosis in the recommendation window. It also advises the patient about the tests to confirm the disease. Moreover, the patient is also given the different treatment options treating the disease.
