2. The VL proof of concept is now ready for usage by the VL partners. The VL software and documen-tation can be downloaded from WWW.vl-e.nl.
3. TeleCARE. Development of an agent-based federated database system is achieved. Three main components were developed to support both the management of all information related to TeleCARE network facilitating its extension, and the development of new vertical services, namely: i) Federated Information MAnagement - FIMA, ii) Resource Catalogue Management - RCAM, and iii) Dynamic Ontology-based Schema Generation - DOSG
4. Flexworks. An object-oriented database and a Web-based application on top of this database have been developed for storing sequence annotation information, following the DAS standard. The Blast sequence analysis tool has been ported to the DAS2 Linux cluster and is made available to users through Grid
5. An alpha (proof-of-concept) version of the AAA toolkit (software) was developed in 2003
