La vida de Oksana, de cuarenta y seis años, cambia cuando su esposo Tolik se convierte en un niño de siete años. Los médicos se sienten impotentes y nadie puede hacer que se recupere. Oksana se aferra a su vida anterior, pero el problema resulta ser más serio de lo que le parecía.
Life of forty-six-year-old Oksana changes when her husband Tolik turns into a seven-year-old boy. Doctors are powerless and nobody can take him back. Oksana clings to the old life, but the problem turned out to be more serious than it seemed to her.
Pavlo (1990, Ucrania) se gradúa en 2012 en “Jurisprudencia”. Participa en un curso de escritura de guiones de Paul Brown, de la New York Film Academy. Participante y ganador de muchos festivales internacio- nales de cine. Miembro de la European Film Academy y de la Ukrainian Film Academy. Pavlo es también cómico.

Después de un máster en la DIA, François escribe y dirige muchos programas para la televisión belga, tanto series de televisión como de entretenimiento. “Solo Rex” ha sido premiado en muchos festivales de cine. Su segundo cortometraje, “Vihta”, se estrena en Clermont-Ferrand ISFF.
After a master’s degree at the IAD, François wrote and directed many programs for Belgian television, both in TV series and entertainment. ‘Solo Rex’ was awarded in many film festivals. His second short film, ‘Vihta’, premiered in Clermont-Ferrand ISFF.

Además de para el disfrute personal y colectivo, para emocionarse, contagiarse, vivir otras vidas y otros mundos, el cortometraje tiene muchas más posibilidades. Su breve duración, la diversidad de temas que aborda, la cantidad de miradas diferentes sobre el presente… e incluso la riqueza en el uso del lenguaje oral, lo con- vierten en la herramienta perfecta para el aprendizaje de idiomas, para empaparse de diferentes acentos, de situaciones cotidianas que lo hacen más atractivo y disfrutable que los antiguos listenings.
Conscientes de ello, en ALCINE llevamos años empeñados en emplear los cortos también para esta faceta del apren- dizaje. Es, por un lado, una forma de acercar el corto a nuevos públicos, de atraer a los jóvenes estudiantes a un festival que tiene mucho que ofrecerles. Y por otro, es una manera de contribuir y complementar una tarea a veces ardua, la del aprendizaje de una nueva lengua, con el aliciente que le aportan los mejores cortometrajes europeos del momento.
Cortometrajes alemanes, franceses y británicos con los que conseguiremos descubrir los giros, el argot y las expresiones lingüísticas más diversas, y de paso, introdu- cirnos en tramas que retratan el presente con la cercanía y autenticidad que aportan una selección de brillantes cortos de ficción. Y cada uno de ellos, subtitulado en la propia lengua.
En esta ocasión y para que no quede todo en simple visionado, alumnos de románicas de la Universidad de Regensburg y el British Council, han preparado material didáctico para que la experiencia didáctica sea completa.
On top of the personal and collective enjoyment, the emotion, the contagion, living the lives of others and jour- neying to other worlds, short films have so much more to offer. Their brevity, the diversity of the topics touched on, the quantity of different outlooks on the present… and even the wealth of the oral language used, make them the perfect tool for language learning, to soak up diffe- rent accents and everyday situations that are much more attractive and enjoyable than those old listenings. ALCINE is well aware of this and has spent years emplo- ying short films for this facet of the learning process. On the one hand, it is a way of introducing new audiences to short films and attracting young students to a festival that has a great deal to offer them, and on the other, it is a way of contributing and adding to an often arduous task; that of learning a new language, with the incentive of watching the best European short films of the moment. German, French and British short films to discover the most diverse turns of phrase, slang and expressions and at the same time, to involve us in storylines depicting the present up close and with an authenticity provided by a selection of brilliant short fiction films. Each of them is subtitled in the same language as the film.
This time round, in conjunction with the viewing, Roman- ce language students at the University of Regensburg and the British Council have prepared educational mate- rial to enhance the experience.
