Se recomienda realizar estudios similares pero prospectivos para corroborar el efecto benéfico de la cirugía de cerclaje escleral para el tratamiento quirúrgico del desprendimiento de retina regmatógeno primario no complicado.
Recomendamos realizar la cirugía de cerclaje escleral en pacientes con desprendimiento de retina regmatógeno primario no complicado, porque demanda menos gastos frente a la vitrectomía pars plana, no es dependiente de la tecnología, es un procedimiento sencillo que puede ser realizada en hospitales nacionales con pocos recursos y al alcance de pacientes de condiciones económicas insuficientes.
