CAU Configuration attribute group

The CAU Configuration attribute group provides information about the configuration parameters that are used by the CAU.

Historical group

This attribute group is eligible for use with Tivoli Data Warehouse.

Attribute descriptions

The following list contains information about each attribute in the CAU Configuration attribute group:

Node attribute: This attribute is a key attribute.

Description

The managed system name of the agent.

Warehouse name NODE Timestamp attribute

Description

The local time at the agent when the data was collected.

Type

The source for this attribute is the agent.

Warehouse name TIMESTAMP Resource Group Name attribute

Description

The name of the resource group in which the CAU services are added.

Warehouse name

RESOURCE_GROUP_NAME or RGN Owner Node attribute

Description

The name of the current owner node of the CAU resource group.

Description

The status of the CAU resource group.

Warehouse name STATUS Start Date attribute

Description

The date and time when the CAU was started.

Warehouse name START_DATE CAU Plugin Name attribute

Description

The name of the CAU plug-in that indicates whether the CAU is configured to install Windows updates or hotfixes.

CAU_PLUGIN_NAME or CPN CAU Plugin Arguments attribute

Description

The parameters that are provided to the CAU plug-in to install Windows updates or hotfixes.

CAU_PLUGIN_ARGUMENTS or CPA Node Order attribute

Description

The sequence in which the cluster nodes are updated.

Warehouse name NODE_ORDER Max Retries Per Node attribute

Description

The maximum number of retry attempts that are made per node by the update process.

Type

Integer (32-bit numeric property) with enumerated values. The strings are displayed in the Tivoli Enterprise Portal. The warehouse and queries return the values that are shown in parentheses. The following values are defined:

v Value Exceeds Maximum (2147483647) v Value Exceeds Minimum (-2147483648)

Any other value is the value that is returned by the agent in the Tivoli Enterprise Portal.

Warehouse name

MAX_RETRIES_PER_NODE or MRPN Max Failed Nodes attribute

Description

The maximum number of nodes on which updating can fail.If one more node fails, the Updating Run stops.

Type

Integer (32-bit numeric property) with enumerated values. The strings are displayed in the Tivoli Enterprise Portal. The warehouse and queries return the values that are shown in parentheses. The following values are defined:

v NA (-1)

Any other value is the value that is returned by the agent in the Tivoli Enterprise Portal.

MAX_FAILED_NODES or MFN Require All Nodes Online attribute

Description

A Boolean value that indicates whether all the nodes are online and reachable before starting the Updating Run.

REQUIRE_ALL_NODES_ONLINE or RANO Warn After attribute

Description

The duration (in minutes) after which a warning is generated if the update process is not completed.

Description

The duration (in minutes) after which the Updating Run stops.The Updating Run must be completed within the specified duration that includes running of the scripts before and after the update process.

Warehouse name STOP_AFTER Reboot Timeout Minutes attribute

Description

The time (in minutes) within which a node must restart during the Updating Run.If the restart time of the node exceeds the reboot timeout value, the Updating Run for the node is marked as failed.

Description

A Boolean value that indicates whether the firewall rules are enabled.

The days of a week on which the Updating Run is scheduled.

The weeks of a month on which the Updating Run is scheduled.

Description

The duration (in weeks) after which the Updating Run starts.

Description

The name and path of the Windows PowerShell script file that is run on a node before starting the update process, and before putting the node in the

maintenance mode.

PREUPDATE_SCRIPT or PS PostUpdate Script attribute

Description

The name and path of the Windows PowerShell script file that is run after completing the update process on a node, and after the node is brought out of the maintenance mode.
