Degradation Risk attribute group

Is a characterization of the risk that application performance will degrade in the event of a node failure.

Historical group

This attribute group is eligible for use with Tivoli Data Warehouse.

The following list contains information about each attribute in the Degradation Risk attribute group:

Node attribute: This attribute is a key attribute.

Description

The managed system name of the agent.

Description

The local time at the agent when the data was collected.

Warehouse name TIMESTAMP Node Min Capacity attribute

Description

This is the online node with the minimum processing capacity.

Warehouse name

NODE_MIN_CAPACITY or NMC Min Capacity attribute

Description

This is the minimum processing capacity.It is calculated as the sum of the megahertz rating of each processor on the node.

Type

Integer (32-bit gauge) with enumerated values. The strings are displayed in the Tivoli Enterprise Portal. The warehouse and queries return the values that are shown in parentheses. The following values are defined:

v Value Exceeds Maximum (2147483647) v Value Exceeds Minimum (-2147483648)

Any other value is the value that is returned by the agent in the Tivoli Enterprise Portal.

Description

Description

This is the current processing capacity of the cluster.It is the sum of the processing capacity of active nodes.

CURRENT_CAPACITY or CC Degraded Capacity attribute

Description

This is the projected processing capacity based on the current capacity of the cluster if the highest capacity node failed.

DEGRADED_CAPACITY or DC Total Util attribute

Description

This is the sum of processing capacity utilization for all active nodes in the cluster.

Type

Integer (32-bit gauge) with enumerated values. The strings are displayed in the Tivoli Enterprise Portal. The warehouse and queries return the values that are shown in parentheses. The following values are defined:

v Value Exceeds Maximum (2147483647) v Value Exceeds Minimum (-2147483648)

Warehouse name TOTAL_UTIL Uniform Commitment attribute

Description

Risk (Total Util/Degraded Capacity) as a percentage if the highest capacity node failed and the load was spread amongst the remaining nodes uniformly.When the percentage exceeds 100 the cluster is at risk of not supporting the total cluster utilization.

Integer (32-bit gauge) with enumerated values. The strings are displayed in the Tivoli Enterprise Portal. The warehouse and queries return the values that are shown in parentheses. The following values are defined:

Warehouse name

UNIFORM_COMMITMENT or UC Unitary Commitment attribute

Description

Risk ((Max Util + Min Util)/Node Capacity) as a percentage if the highest capacity node failed and the load was given to the node with highest available capacity.When the percentage exceeds 100 the cluster is at risk of not supporting the utilization.
