In the present study, 63% of the patients exhibited LA reverse remodeling after catheter abla- tion for AF. In these responders, LA strain and strain rate increased signifi cantly from baseline to follow-up. In contrast, no changes in LA strain and strain rate were noted in the non-responders. Left atrial systolic strain at baseline was the strongest predictor of LA reverse remodeling.
