9. To create a new watchlist, do the following:

Select the New button at the bottom right-hand corner. A New Watchlist window will appear (as shown in Figure 3.2) prompting for a watchlist name.

Enter the watchlist name and select the OK button.

10. The Edit button at the bottom left-hand corner (as shown in Figure 3.1) may be used to rename a Watchlist or delete a Watchlist.

11. To delete a Watchlist, select the Edit button and do the following:

 Select the required watchlist by tapping at the respective Delete icon (highlighted at Figure 3.3).

This will activate the Delete button. To confirm the action, select the Delete button.

12. To rename a Watchlist, select the Edit button and do the following:

Select the Rename icon (highlighted at Figure 3.4).

 Then, enter the new name for the Watchlist and select the OK button, as shown in Figure 3.5.

13. User may view the contents of a Watchlist and the basic info of a counter in the Watchlist, by following the steps below:

 Select the required Watchlist first from the main Watchlist screen to view its contents.

Then simply tap at the required counter to view the details (as shown in Figure 3.6).

14. To go back to Watchlist menu, select the Watchlist button located at the top left-hand corner.

3.2. How to Add and Remove a Favourite Stock

3. To add a favourite counter, do the following:

First, go the Home screen and access the Stock Info screen (as shown in Figure 3.7) of the counter, by tapping at respective Last Done price.

 Next, select the +WATCH button. This prompts a selection of Watchlists available, as shown in Figure 3.8. Choose the Watchlist to add the counter to and subsequently select the done button.

 Upon successfully adding the counter, the system will prompt a confirmation message.

4. To remove a counter from a Watchlist, do the following:

Access the Watchlist menu (Figure 3.9) and choose the required watchlist.

Next, select the Edit button as shown in Figure 3.10.

Then select the respective Delete icon (highlighted in Figure 3.11) for the counter.

• This will activate the Delete button, as shown in Figure 3.11. To confirm the action, select the Delete button. To abort the action, simply select the done button.

Let’s Start Trading

This chapter offers a step by step guide on trading using AmeSecurities app. The following sub-topics have been covered in this chapter:

4.1. Basics of the Trade Function

3. The Trade function enables a user to buy or sell a counter.

4. The Trade screen (Figure 4.1) consists of the following elements:

 Basic stock info of the counter such as Name and Last Done Price.

Account number and Credit Balance.

PRICE, which is the Last Done price by default.

QTY, which is 0 by default. (For derivatives, the trade unit is 1 whereas for equities, the trade unit is either 100 units or 1000 units, depending upon the trade exchange).

ORDER TYPE such as Limit, Market and Market to Limit. The options available are dependent upon the trade exchange.

VALIDITY period such as Day, FAK (Fill and Kill) and GTD (Good Till Date). The options available are dependent upon the trade exchange.

CURRENCY such as MYR. The option(s) available are dependent upon the trade exchange.

PAYMENT such as Cash. The option(s) available are dependent upon the trade exchange.

Skip Confirmation option to do away with the trade confirmation message.

BUY button and SELL button to send an order.

8. First, select the trade counter as per steps below:

Access the Home screen first and then open the Stock Info screen of the chosen counter by tapping at the Last Done price.

Subsequently, select the TRADE button to open the Trade screen as shown in Figure 4.2.

9. Then tap at the PRICE and QTY field respectively to enter the relevant information. This action will prompt the auto setting option as highlighted in Figure 4.3. User may select the appropriate auto setting to increase or decrease the price and/or quantity. Upon entering the required information, select the done button to close the keypad.

10. Subsequently, select the appropriate ORDER TYPE, VALIDITY, CURRENCY and PAYMENT by scrolling through the options. (If user chooses the Good Till Date VALIDITY period, a DATE field will be prompted.

11. Then click the Buy or Sell button. This action will prompt for the Trading Pin as shown in Figure 4.4.

12. Tap at the Trading Pin field to enter the relevant pin. User may select Remember Pin option so that the pin is saved for that login session. Once done, select the OK button to close the keypad.

13. A trade confirmation message will be prompted as shown in Figure 4.6. Select the Submit Order button to confirm the order.

14. The system prompt which indicates that the order has been successfully sent to the broking house.

5. By default, the Order Book displays ALL ORDERS that have been submitted to the broking house.

7. User may filter the orders according to order status such as Open Orders, Filled Order and etc. To filter the order(s), do the following:

Tap at the ALL ORDERS button and select the required status (as shown in Figure 5.2).

Upon selecting the status, select the done button to close the filter screen.

8. User may also view the order status of an order in detail at the Order Book, as shown in Figure 5.3. To view the order status, simply tap at the required order.

5.2. Portfolio

3. The Portfolio (Figure 5.4 shows the counters currently held by the user. To access it, go to Function Menu and select the Portfolio icon. By default, this action will load the portfolio of the current trading account.

6.1. Change Password

3. User may change the password periodically for security purpose.

4. To change password. do the following:

Access the Function Menu and select the Settings icon. This will display the Settings menu as shown in Figure 6.1.

Select the Change Password option to open the Change Password screen (Figure 6.2). Then enter the required information and select the Submit button.

 Upon successfully updating the password, the system will prompt a message.

6.2. Change PIN

3. User may also change the Pin periodically for security purpose.

4. To change the Pin, do the following:

Access the Function Menu and select the Settings icon. Subsequently, select the Change Pin option from the menu to open the Change Pin screen (Figure 6.3).

Then enter the required information and select the Submit button.

Access the Function Menu and select the Settings icon. Subsequently, select the Forgot Pin option from the menu to open the Forgot Pin screen (Figure 6.4)

Then enter the required information and select the Submit button. The Pin number will be emailed to the user.
