After you have created the Service Plan Category, you are ready to create a Service Plan based on PEM Service Templates. It will contain certain resources (resource types) and fees for using them.

To create a Service Plan, follow these steps:

1 Go to Product Director > Plan Manager > Service Plans and click on the Add New Service Plan button.

2 Specify the following Service Plan parameters:

Main

ƒ Name. Type the name your plan will be referred to in the store price list. You should pay particular attention to defining a well-sounding name.

ƒ Service Template. Click on the [...] button to the right of the field. The list of available Service Templates opens in a pop-up window. Select a Service Template the new Service Plan will be based on. A Service Template

determines resources that are provided to the subscriber to the Service Plan. A Service Template is required for a new Service Plan creation and cannot be modified for an existing Service Plan.

ƒ Plan Category. Click on the [...] button to the right of the field. The list of available Plan Categories opens in a pop-up window. Select the category in which you want to include the Service Plan being created. You may select the category you have recently created or any other category.

ƒ Short Description. Type basic information concerning the Service Plan. The information will be displayed in your webstore.

ƒ Long Description. Type the detailed description of your Service Plan. In distinction from the short description, the long description may contain more detailed information about the features and components provided by the Service Plan.

This information will be displayed in your webstore and is of great importance for a customer when he/she will select a Service Plan that is best suited for him/her.

ƒ Unique Group. The Service Plan can be optionally included in a unique group. A unique group restricts combinations of Service Plans in a single subscription.

Service Plans of the same unique group cannot be up-sales to each other. If you want the Service Plan to belong to a unique group, click on the [...] button to the right of the Unique Group field. The list of available unique groups opens in a pop-up window. Select a unique group.

ƒ Is For Agent. Select the check box if you want a subscriber to the Service Plan to be promoted to agents.

ƒ Published. Select the check box if you want to publish the Service Plan in the store directly after the creation of the Service Plan. Before a Service Plan is published, it remains in the system unavailable for selling and using.

Billing Information

ƒ Customer Class. Service Plan can be assigned with a default customer class.

Each customer purchasing such a plan in the online store is marked as

belonging to the respective customer class. Select a customer class to assign to the plan from the Customer Class drop-down list.

ƒ Refund Policy. Set the radio button in one of the following positions:

Refund Allowed - customers are refunded for the cancelled subscription;

Refund Not Allowed - customers are not refunded for the cancelled subscription.

ƒ Billing Period Type. Select a billing period type from the drop-down list. The following types are available:

Fixed Date of Month - recurring fee is billed on the specified day of each month regardless of the subscription date, e.g. 5th of January, 5th of February, 5th of March, etc. The shown schedule is applied equally to subscription purchased on 3 January and to one purchased on 31 December;

Fixed Number of Months - billing period in months. For example, 1 means that recurring fee is billed on the 1st of January, 1st of February, 1st of March, etc.

The difference from the fixed date of the month is that the Number of Months cycle is based on subscription date. The shown schedule applies only to subscriptions purchased on the 5th of January;

Fixed Number of Years - billing period in years. For example, 1 means that

recurring fee is billed every year: 1st of January 2005, 1st of January 2006, 1st of January 2007, etc.

ƒ Billing Period. Type a number to specify the selected billing period type.

ƒ Synchronize Subscription Prices. After a customer purchases a subscription to a Service Plan, the Service Plan can be modified (both in terms of pricing and resources provided). The subscription can remain unchanged or to be synchronized to new plan settings. If you want the Service Plan to be synchronized with the subscription, select the Synchronize Subscription Prices check box.

ƒ Renew Automatically. Select the check box if you want subscriptions to the Service Plan to be renewed automatically. This is a default value that can be changed for particular subscriptions.

ƒ Renew Point (days). Set the number of days before the subscription expiry date to mark the day when the expiring subscription will be automatically renewed. This is a default value that can be changed for individual subscriptions.

ƒ Charge for Subscription. Subscription fee is given in the store for one billing period.

If billing period is shorter than subscription period, subscription fee is multiplied by the number of billing periods within subscription period. The result obtained is called full subscription fee. To define when the recurring billing is to be billed, select one of the following items from the Charge for Subscription drop-down list:

Before Billing Period - the subscription fee is billed before the billing period starts;

After Billing Period - the subscription fee is billed after the billing period ends;

Before Subscription Period - the full subscription fee is billed before subscription period starts.

Web Shop Information

ƒ Show Priority. Input the priority with which the service plan will be displayed in the online store. The highest priority is 1. Service plan with the priority 1 will be shown in the topmost left position in the store.

3 Click on the Save button.
