b) Actual image of 8 pots, each with a barcode clipped to the side of the pot via a binder clip. The matlap script recognizes the “L” orientation for each barcode (red), boxes the barcode (blue), and reads the binary barcode (digits). Each pot is then cropped (green boxes) and the subimage is saved as a new file with a filename that incorporates the barcode digits.
