5.2. Future Research
Further research might explore if the conclusions drawn from the sample investigated
apply to other sources as well. Additionally, none of the studies investigated have formulated
results with regards to the effect of the tasks used during a project, or specified what kinds of
tasks would obtain the best pedagogical results. So far, communicative competence, one of
the aims set by TILA, has only been investigated by a small number of studies. So, further
work needs to be done to establish which task-based activities are the most beneficial to
students and teachers, and how and to what extent telecollaborative project may improve
