7.1.4 Inclusion and Situatedness
Enlist most important initiatives taken to address locational advantages and disadvantages during the year
The Institute is situated in a semi-urban area, due to which there is a great scope for extension activities, environment conservation activities and a lot of social awareness activities. The Institute is regularly engaged in taking this locational advantage through the extension activities and the NSS unit.
Most of the students taking admission to various programmes of the Institute are from a rural background and are weak in English language and soft skills. This is a major disadvantage because all the courses are of a professional nature and the language of teaching is English. The Institute overcomes this disadvantage by providing training to such students in soft skills, etiquettes, personality development and interview techniques.
