Student council of the institute is in place. Both UG & PG student representatives are the members of the council. A faculty is the secretary of the student’s council.

Student council meets once in a semesters to discuss student related matters and others issues. Following are the different academic & administrative committees of the institute :

Activities of the Alumni :

There is regular interaction of the alumni with the students of the institute. The alumni working on various level in the business and IT organisations share their practical

experiences and knowledge with the present students of the instate during their visits to the institute. Such interaction is helpful to the final year students for getting internships and placements.

CRITERION VI –GOVERNANCE, LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT 6.1 Institutional Vision and Leadership

6.1.1 Mention two practices of decentralization and participative management during the last year (maximum 500 words)

Decentralization :

The university has appointed the Director as the Head of the institute. The Director runs the institute by delegating certain powers and responsibilities to the HODs of both the

departments of the institute. The faculty class co-ordinators are also given authority to look after the proper functioning of their respective classes. The administrative work is delegated to the Administrative Officer who looks after the day to day administrative work.

Participative management:

The institute has various academic and administrative committees. In each of these

committees there is representation of students and administrative staff. The committees help in taking decisions pertaining to their respective committee.

6.2 Strategy Development and Deployment

6.2.1 Quality improvement strategies adopted by the institution for each of the following (with in 100 words each):

 Curriculum Development

Suggestions from practicing managers and IT professionals are invited and forwarded to the Board of Studies of the University for designing and development of curriculum of various programmes.

 Teaching and Learning

The IQAC promotes extensive use of ICT in teaching and learning process. Submission of lesson plans (including power point presentations) by the faculty has been made

compulsory. E-contents are developed and uploaded to the website. At the beginning of each semester, teaching plans are prepared by each subject teacher.

 Examination and Evaluation

The examination cell of the University conducts the examinations and evaluation. However some of the courses have been earmarked for Continuous Assessment (CA) at the Institute level, wherein the Institute adopts different methods for internal evaluation.

 Research and Development

The Institute has been approved as a research centre of the University for the PhD degree. Hence research activities have been initiated under the banner of this research cell.

 Library, ICT and Physical Infrastructure / Instrumentation The library has ‘Library Management System’ application software.

ICT is being utilised in teaching-learning process, security and co-curricular activities.

 Human Resource Management

There is regular interaction of head-of-institute with the staff to elicit staff grievances and

feedback. All the staff members are properly compensated as per the norms laid down by the statutory organisations. Various faculty development programmes are organised for the academic development of the teaching staff. The required training in technical knowledge like computer training is provided to the administrative staff.

The staff of the institute is also provided with various welfare facilities:

1. The staff members are given the facility of reimbursement of medical bills from Sevak Kalyan Nidhi of the Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune.

2. Fee concession is given to the students of the staff members studying in Institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth.

The inter-personal relations of the staff members is cordial which helps them in better performance and enhanced job satisfaction

 Industry Interaction / Collaboration

The Institute has in place an Industry-Institute-Interface programme with the main objective to identify gaps in classroom teaching and industry expectation.

 Admission of Students

Advertisement campaigns have been undertaken to build a brand image of the Institute so as to attract meritorious students to the various courses offered by the Institute

 Planning and Development

All the notices for students and faculty members are communicated through the web portal of the institute. Parents are also given updates about their wards through SMS & whatsapp.

 Administration

Information about PF and Income tax is regularly submitted to the Govt. Departments through their online portals.

Submission of retirement related documents through e-pension portal of the govt.

RFID system is installed in the Library.

 Finance and Accounts

Office and accounts sections are computerized.

Maintenance of the college accounts is done through Tally.

 Student Admission and Support

Online CET is conducted for the admission for the UG & PG programmes.

Students database is maintained using software system.

e-contents are made available for the students on the portal of the university by the faculty.

 Examination

The faculty members assess (online) the university examination answer sheets as a part of CAP of the university. Question papers are also received from the university in digital form.

Yes the Institution conducts internal and external financial audits regularly. The Accounts of the institute are audited yearly. The Institute has one internal audit and one external audit.
