The deletefunction deletestherecordoftheagentthatisheld inthe administrationserverdatabase.Itdoesnotremovetheagentfilesfromthe monitored node.Toremoveanagent,usetheuninstall agentproceduredescribed in theinstallationchapterofIBMTivoliLicense ComplianceManager:Planning, Installation,andConfiguration.
Use thedeleteagentfunctionwhena nodeisnolongerbeingmonitored.Youmust uninstall theagentfromthenodebeforeyoudeletetheagentfromthedatabase.
The recommendedprocedurefor deletingactiveagentsisthefollowing:
1. uninstalltheagent
2. waitlongenoughtoensurethatallrelevantdataforanaggregationhasarrived at theadministrationserver(refertothevalueofthemaxAggregateUsageAge parameterinthesystem.propertiesfile)
3. deletetheagentusingtheWebUI
