Occupational Skills Certificate

The curriculum prepares students to work in radio broad­

cast operations. Course work covers operation of radio broadcast master control consoles and associated equip­

ment; operation of radio automation systems; preparation and administration of the Radio Operator’s Certification exam offered by the Society of Broadcast Engineers;

operation of field recording equipment.

Radio students are prepared for employment as disc jock­

eys, radio master controls operators, and field technicians.

An Occupational Skills Certificate is awarded upon com­

pletion of all required courses with a grade of C or better.

Radio students are prepared for employment as disc jockeys, production assistants, and program producers.

An Occupational Skills Certificate is awarded upon completion of all required courses with a grade of C or better.
