Meet ECHO

In document Matrix Reimprinting Using EFT (Page 109-121)

Introduce yourself to your ECHO. You need to Jet them know who you are and explain that you have come from the future to help them feel differently about the situation. This is done silently in your mind.

The ECHO will often have been holding the trauma for a long time. Thank them for doing such a great job for you.

Ask the ECHO what they are feeling and where they are feeling it in their body. Then Imagine carrying out the EFT protocol on the ECHO while conti nuing to tap on yourself.

For example, if the ECHO Is feeling black fear In their heart, imagine tapping on their karate chop point while tapping on your own karate chop point At. the same time, say the set-up phrase out loud, for example: 'Ewn though you haW this black fear in your heart, you love and accept If the ECHO Is a child, adapt the language of the set-up phrase to suit a 'Ewm though

heart.'

Continue this u ntil the ECHO has cleared some of the Intensity of emotion that they are feeling.

Converse silently in your mind with the ECHO, asking what they learned about life from this situation. Check whether you are still running this lessOn. For example, if the ECHO says they learned they were 'stupid', do you still feel stupid at times?

Ask the ECHO if there Is a nything they would like to do to resolve this situation. They can:

bring in new resources

change what happened

I nvite somebody or something else in for help and guidance

do what they didn't do or they wished they'd done In that situation

Change the image accordingly

When tbere Is resolution around the original memory, ask the ECHO if they would like to go tD a place of their choosing and create a new fOr example a forest or the seaside. Going to a different place is the d\Otce of the ECHO &net 1sn't always necessary or appropriate.

Finally, stop tapping on you rself. Come back to the present and open your eyes in your own time. Then close your eyes again and bring to mind the original image. If there is any intensity remaining, either clear it with conventional EFT or go back into the picture to resolve another aspect. However, it is most likely that the original i mage will have changed or disappeared.

Matrix Scene Relmprlntlng: Working with Another Person

You can also use this technique on another person. This is exactly the same as using it on yourself, except that you tap on them and they tap on the ECHO throughout. In summary:

Ask them to bring to m ind the i mage or scene they want to work on.

Encourage them to describe what they are seeing. The i mportant thing Is to make sure that they are looking at the scene from the outside, not through the eyes of their younger self, the ECHO. In order to ensure that they are doing this, you can ask the m a number of questions such as 'What are they wearing?', 'What do they look like?', etc.

Encourage them to close their eyes, check you have permission to on them and then begin tapping using all the points (page 57).

Ask them to step into the scene as their current self and i ntroduce themselves to the ECHO. Let them explai n why they have come and thank the ECHO for holding on to the trauma.

Encourage them to ask the ECHO what they are feeling and where they are feeling it i n their body. Then let them carry out the EFT protocol on the ECHO, using the set-up phrase

Then encourage them to send the Image out i nto the Matrix.

Give them time to experience the positive emotions and Instruct them to let you know when It feels complete.

Invite them back to the present and encourage them to open their eyes in their own time. When you are sure they are in the present, ask them to close their eyes again and bring to

mind the original Image that they had of themselves. If there Is any intensity remaini ng, either clear It with conventional EFT or go back I nto the picture to resolve another aspect.

The Basic Premise of the Technique

This technique is similar to Matrix Scene Reimprinting, except that it al lows you to work with a longer memory rather than a smaller scene or image. Just like the conventional EFT Movie Technique, the memory needs to be a single event with a number of peaks of emotional i ntensity within it. It also needs to span a short period of time, for example a few min utes, an hour, a morning, an afternoon or an eveni ng, and to last for no more than ten min utes in total when you tell the story. If it spans several days or weeks, you will need to divide it into several memories, giving each one a separate title and working on them one at a time.

Matrix Memory Reimprinting: Working on Yourself

The usual precautions apply, and if you have deep-rooted emotional scars or memories with a very high emotional charge, it is always advisable to work with a Matrix Reimprinting practitioner to resolve these memories .

Close your eyes and begin tapping on yourself, using all the points (page 57). Tapping conti nues until Step 10, when you have resolved the first emotional peak.

Step into the picture and i ntroduce yourself to the ECHO. Let them know who you are and explain to them that you have come from the future to help them feel differently about the situation.

This is done silently in your mind.

emotions, using the set-up phrase 'Even though you have this [negative emotion), you love and accept yourself or, if the ECHO is a child, ' ••• you are still a great kid.' Continue tapping on yourself as you do this.

Continue this until the ECHO has cleared some of the intensity of emotion that they are feeling.

Ask the ECHO what they learned about life from this situation.

Check whether you are still running this lesson. For example, if the ECHO says they learned they were 'unlovable', do you still feel unlovable at times?

Ask the ECHO If there Is a nything they would like to do to resolve this situation. They can:

prepare for what is about to happen

bring in new resources

change what happened

invite somebody or something else in for help and guidance

do what they didn't do or they wished they'd done in that situation

The transformation work is usually done In silence. Give yourself time to complete this while you conti nue tapping on yourself and on your ECHO.

Once the tlrst emotionally Intense peak of the memory has been transformed, stop tapping on yourself, open your eyes and continue with the narration.

THE FOUN DATION TEC H N !QlJES

Each time there is an emotional peak, pause the memory, close your eyes and begin tapping on yourself. Clear each Individual peak In the same way by tapping on the ECHO and either preparing them for what will happen, changing the outcome of What happened, bringing in new resources or inviting

In someone for support.

Do this until all emotionally i ntense peaks have cleared.

When there is resolution of the ful l memory, ask the ECHO if they would like to go to a place of their choosing in the picture, for example a forest or the seaside. It Is not always appropriate.

Allow the ECHO to have a positive experience in the place of their choosing; They can also bring in others of their choosing to create a n experlance of community.

When the ECHO Is In a good emotional space and has a very clear and positive picture of this, bring the picture into your mind. Allow all the neurons In your brain to reconnect

Matrix Memory Relmprlntlng: Working with a Partner

The procedure for carrying out the tech nique on another person is almost exactly the same, except you tap on your recipient and they tap on their ECHO throughout. In summary:

Ask your recipient to bring to mind a specific memory that they want to change or work with. Ensure that It is a single event. Ask them to give it a title.

Encourage them to begin telling you what happened, making sure they start before there is any emotional intensity. As soon as there IS a point of emotional intensity, pause the memory.
