Nothing Last Forever

In document Hypnotized (Page 86-166)

Tiffany fidgeted her fingers while waiting for Taeyeon to come out from the building. As she had promised the blonde last week, she wanted it to be real and clean this time. No more hypnotizing and no more pretending. If she wanted Taeyeon, then she had to do her best effort to get her. She had spent few days to think meticulously and processed ‘what if’ questions. People said that sometimes things didn’t go as what had been expected and yes, she had to be prepared should things don’t go well.

Usually people came to consult with her and she would end up hypnotizing to cure or at least lessen the stress, but now that she was the one who felt stressed, who could help her? She ever thought to contact Sunny, the closest person of Taeyeon currently but she aborted her plan. Sunny would tell Taeyeon and it would only do her bad. Then her thought shifted to Sooyoung, but from what she looked last time she met her, Sooyoung wasn’t very intelligent when it wasn’t related with her work. She remembered clearly that Sooyoung was a bright person but only in educational subjects.

“Jessi!” Tiffany yelled out loud once her phone had been picked up.

“Whoa whoa~ You don’t need to scream right inside my ear! What again this time? Don’t tell me that Taeyeon has fainted for being overdosed with your hypnosis method!” Jessi talked back fro the phone.

“No no.. I said I wanted to be clean last time, remember? And that’s exactly what I will do. I am already near the office building of Taeyeon right now. What do I do, Jessi??” Tiffany tapped her feet nervously.

“Wait for her until she shows up and greet her normally. What else?” Jessica casually replied.

“You don’t really understand the situation, do you??” Tiffany sighed.

“I totally understand. Just do like what you usually did, but without that hypnosis method that I hate so much this time.” Jessica sneered.

“I didn’t ask for your opinion about my occupation thank you.” Tiffany clicked her tongue.

“I am feeling so nervous now. What if she pretended not to see me and walked passed me without saying anything? What if she ignored me? What if-“

“There is no what if, Tiffy! That’s what will deduct your confidence. You know what, I have a bright idea about that!” Tiffany could hear Jessica snapped her fingers from behind.

“And what is that?! Tell me!!” Tiffany impatiently demanded.

“Take out your mirror inside your bag and hypnotize yourself to be braver and more confident.” Jessica laughed.

“Ha ha ha.. Fuck you~” Tiffany growled.

“Oh I will but by Yuri, not you~” Jessica continued laughing.

“Oh damn! She is walking out of the building!! What do I do??!!” Tiffany asked in panic.

“Hang up and good luck! Don’t forget to update me later okay!” Jessica immediately hang up afterward, didn’t even wait for Tiffany’s reply.

“Darn~” Tiffany murmured. She looked down, checking out herself and ensured she was proper and flawless. She tidied her hair and inhaled deeply. She enchanted some words of prayer while walking toward Taeyeon who looked like waiting of something in front of the lobby.

“Hi!” Tiffany’s voice trembled while saying that short word.

“Oh can I help~ Tiffany???” Taeyeon’s eyes went wide automatically.

“Are you busy?” Tiffany nervously asked.

“I am currently waiting for my car and will go have dinner with a friend. Do you have something to talk with me?” Taeyeon pulled the sleeve of her left hand and took a glance on her wristwatch.

“Eh?? No no no.. I don’t want-“ Tiffany stopped talking when a car suddenly pulled away and stopped right in front both of them.

“That is my car. Let’s go.” Taeyeon grabbed Tiffany’s hand and entered the car.

“But I will disrupt your dinner with your friend. Besides, it’s not something important. Really~” Tiffany cursed inside her mind. This was totally far from her expectation. She was right when she thought that sometimes things don’t go as what you expected.

“What are you saying?! You have come from afar. There must be something important that you want to discuss with me~ We can talk it out while having dinner.” Taeyeon tapped Tiffany’s arm which made Tiffany screamed in delightful inside her heart.

Actually, Taeyeon was as nervous but she tried hard to hide it all. She had to act perfectly, according to what Sunny told her. She needed to know whether Tiffany had feelings for her for real or not. She however still believed that Sunny was just being delusional and that there’s no way Tiffany loved her. It was just too impossible~ Taeyeon even said yes when Sooyoung dared her to treat her in the most expensive restaurant in town should what Sunny’s hunch was proven to be true; that Tiffany was indeed in love with her.

“Who is the friend you are going to meet if I may know?” Tiffany braced herself and asked.

“Oh, it’s just a friend of Sunny. She said that she was beautiful and smart, totally compatible with my taste in a girl.” Taeyeon smiled.

“I.. I see.” Tiffany looked away and fisted her palm, hiding the pain she just felt.

It’s the first time people paid no interest with her despite the fact that they sat so close with each other. Could it be possible Tiffany’s first unrequited love? Could it be that Karma existed and now it was Tiffany’s turn to swallow all the hurt all by herself? She didn’t know and didn’t want to know to be honest.

“Why? You suddenly are quiet. Is there something wrong?” Taeyeon asked. She clasped Tiffany’s shoulder.

“Uhm? Nothing. My appearance will only ruin your date, Tae. I can always come again to see you tomorrow or the day after. It’s okay, really~ you can just drop me after the red light ahead.” Tiffany tried to smile back but it couldn’t even reach her ear.

“Are you sure? I can always say to her that I bring a companion. I am sure she wouldn’t mind, Fany.” Taeyeon persuaded.

“It’s okay. I will just come again next time.” Tiffany lied. She felt hurt and she just knew that probably, it was too late already. Taeyeon had made an effort to move on by asking help from Sunny to introduce her to a good girl.

“I understand.” Taeyeon gave up. She pulled away the car and waited for Tiffany to unfasten her seatbelt.

“Thank you. I will see you again next time, Taeyeon. Have a nice date~” Tiffany said.

“I am actually curious of what you wanted to say. Can’t you give me a hint?

Please?” Taeyeon made a face to make Tiffany blurt it out.

“Not telling~ Next time, Tae.” Tiffany jutted out her tongue.

“Here is my card. Save it! I compel this time.” Tiffany placed the card on the dashboard before dashing out from Taeyeon’s car.

“Bye bye~ I will contact you soon. Save my number!” Tiffany waved when Taeyeon opened up the window. Taeyeon could only nod and drove away.

“I am so sure I never gave her my number. How could she contact me then? Is it possible that what Sunny said is true? That she hypnotized me and all? And that’s the main cause why I fell sick at the first place?” Taeyeon talked to herself.

“What happened to Tiffany I once knew? She looked nervous too earlier. Hmm..

Interesting.” Taeyeon smiled before putting a Bluetooth earphone inside her ear and dialed Sunny’s number.

---“What’s with the gloomy face, Tiff?” Jessica asked once Tiffany opened the front door and lifelessly asked her to come in.

“Having you work half day is one thing but seeing you not working at all is just impossible. What happened? I assume, the meeting last time didn’t work. Right?”

Jessica guessed. She took out her coat and hung it on the gallows near the front door.

“What do you think?” Tiffany coldly replied.

“Ouch~ It’s been sometime since the last time I see you being like this; being cold and distant, not to mention rude.” Jessica removed her boots and walked to the living room, followed by Tiffany.

“What do you want?” Tiffany stood up while Jessica had sat.

“Orange juice, please~” Jessica replied politely. She knew Tiffany had an awful mood and muddying it would make Tiffany enrage. Tiffany went to the kitchen, poured the juice and gave it one to Jessica and one to herself.

“What happened last time, Tiff?” Jessica asked after sipping her drink.

“Not good.” Tiffany scoffed.

“I can see that. Tell me in details please?” Jessica took the couch pillow and placed it on her lap. Tiffany with a sigh then told Jessica what occurred last time.

“I see. So that’s what made you feeling despair like now?” Jessica nodded while assessing the information inside her head.

“Yes.” Tiffany murmured.

“Only one time and it has succeeded in turning your mood upside down like this?

Oh come on! Is this the best effort you told me you would give? Is this all? Tch~

disappointing.” Jessica shrugged.

“What the~” Tiffany grew angry.

“What?! It is true. Let’s do some flashback~ Let me refresh what Taeyeon had done to get you. She followed you everywhere for years! Do I need to repeat?

YEARS!! And when she confessed, she was being embarrassed by your ex who ended up cheating on you.” Jessica argued firmly.

“But it’s different now.” Tiffany defended.

“Of course it is different because you are the one who is crazy after her. But, different from her situation back then, you have advantage here~ She has the same feelings as you. What lack is only braveness, confidence, and faith that you can prevent her from seeking others. Because if you want to be official with her, you really need to stop being a crybaby, stop complaining, and get your butt back there!” Jessica halted to take a breath.

“Get her! Why is it so hard to penetrate it into your stupid brain?!” Jessica stated frustratingly.

“Yah! I am not stupid okay?! Don’t you remember back then when I was-“

“I am not talking about educational matters here! Let me tell you this one last time because I promise I won’t suggest anything again after this! Stop being pessimistic and grab your chance to have Taeyeon before it’s too late. Trust me, you will regret and think that you are the biggest dickhead in the world when you knew how stupid you were to miss the chance and let Taeyeon fall for another.” Jessica said breathlessly.

“Now I am out from here. I will leave you alone so you can think clearly.” Jessica grabbed her bag and slung it on her shoulder.

“One more thing, Tiff. Don’t contact me unless you have good news. I am so enough of hearing you complaining just because of your little effort.” Jessica shook her head and stormed out from Tiffany’s apartment.

“And there she goes~” Tiffany slumped down on the couch.

“I need to take a cold shower to clear up things inside my mind. Maybe after that, I will feel refreshed and able to think better.” Tiffany talked to herself. She took her towel and entered the bathroom, right after.

---And so Tiffany made up her mind. She had spent a day off and it was enough to make her taking the righteous decision or at least that’s what she thought. She would break her own promise with Jessica. She knew, the blonde would really be mad at her when she knew but she would save it for later. She needed to hypnotize Taeyeon for the last time, having a date with her for the last time. It would be her last supper before she let go of Taeyeon completely.

Her heart surely refused the idea but her thought said it was the best for both of them. Taeyeon had once let her go when she rejected her confession, so who she

was to against Taeyeon’s idea to find a better girl to replace her inside her heart?

Right? Jessica might be right, that she was the stupidest person alive and she hated to admit it but, Jessica had a point there.

She didn’t know how Taeyeon could let her go, how she could casually greet her like she never had any feelings for Tiffany, how she could try to replace her with others, and how she was selfless and sacrificed her own happiness just so Tiffany would be at ease and happy. She didn’t have any idea. She praised Taeyeon for being so selfless and genuine. If Taeyeon could do it for her, then she too must be selfless and learn to prioritize Taeyeon’s business before her own. Who was she to stop Taeyeon from getting a better girl anyway? No one.. Yep, she was no one for Taeyeon.

Little did she know that Tiffany was Taeyeon’s most precious treasure inside her heart; the most important person after her family; and undoubtedly, the love of her life. Either in the past, present, or future, Tiffany would never be casted away from Taeyeon’s heart. Never once, Taeyeon had a thought to replace her; Taeyeon only wanted to find a person who could set her mind and heart off of Tiffany. She knew it’s kinda impossible even if it’s possible, it wouldn’t be for long because, her heart and mind already equipped with GPS that would lead it back to where Tiffany was.

Yep, Taeyeon was that hopeless yet she was proud of that.

It’s been years yet, Taeyeon couldn’t find out why within those years, Taeyeon was still unable to forget Tiffany. It’s not like Tiffany had done something so superb and wonderful; for God sakes, she just saved Taeyeon from the bully when both of them had barely known what life was. Tiffany even admitted that she didn’t do it in purpose yet Taeyeon’s brain couldn’t process it clearly and she still chose to fall in love with Tiffany in spite of everything. Oh well, people say people would be foolish once they were in love and yes, it applied to Taeyeon.

Tiffany repeated the same things she did just few days ago, she fidgeted her fingers and paced around, waiting for no one but Taeyeon. She waited nervously; one side of her felt so excited since she could have a date with Taeyeon again, but on the other side, she felt sad for this could be the last time she could meet Taeyeon, the single Taeyeon to be exact. If things went well, there’s a huge probability that Taeyeon would continue the relationship with that woman, whoever she was further. Was Tiffany okay with that? Undoubtedly, NO.

“Ah, there she is.. What do I do? Come on, Tiffany!! You have to compose yourself!!” Tiffany hit her own head several times, totally oblivious with the people who looked at her strangely.

“Of course I should approach her! Ah stupid Tiffany!!” Tiffany slapped her forehead for the last time before finally walking forward, where Taeyeon was standing as usual while waiting for her car to be arrived.

“This will be the last time. Forgive me beforehand, Taeyeon-ah.” Tiffany mumbled as she was getting closer to where Taeyeon was.

“Taeyeon-ah!!” Tiffany called for her name as she was only few steps away. In fast reflex, the said woman tilted her head to look at the person who just called her.

“Tiff-“

“Close your eyes and follow my command.” Tiffany pretended to hug Taeyeon as she enchanted her mantra.

“Nod your head if you understand.” Tiffany wrapped her hands around Taeyeon’s waist as the poor woman nodded her head.

“Now you are under my spell. You will be my lover starting now until I release you from my influence. Nod your head twice if you understand.” Tiffany continued. Taeyeon obediently did as what she had been told and nodded her head twice.

“Good. Open your eyes and let’s get out from here~” Tiffany tapped Taeyeon’s shoulder and automatically, Taeyeon opened her eyes.

“Hi Taetae! I missed you so much~” Tiffany greeted her excitedly, like nothing had happened before.

“Fany-ah! I missed you as much too!! Where have you been, sweetie?” Taeyeon asked before leaning in and pecked Tiffany’s lips.

“I was waiting for you.” Tiffany said as her cheeks became reddened for being shy.

“There is my baby~ Let’s go!” Taeyeon pointed to the direction of her car. The chauffeur went off and gave Taeyeon the car key.

“Where do you want to go? Shall we have dinner first?” Taeyeon asked as she opened the passenger car door for Tiffany.

“Thank you.” Tiffany stated and entered the car. Taeyeon walked around and entered the car.

“Are you hungry? Actually, I have eaten before I came here. But if you are hungry, I won’t mind accompanying you to dinner, Tae.” Tiffany fastened her seatbelt yet stopped halfway.

“Let me.” Taeyeon took Tiffany’s hand and placed it on her lap. She then retrieved the seatbelt and fastened it for Tiffany before she did the same to her own seatbelt.

“Honestly, I have eaten sandwich just an hour ago. What if we watch the movie in cinemas? I really want to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!! Sunny said the movie was epic!” Taeyeon elatedly exclaimed.

“But isn’t it a movie for kids?” Tiffany laughed as she just revealed the childish side of Taeyeon and weirdly,, she loved it.

“But I wanna see it.” Taeyeon pouted.

“Hahaha.. okay okay. Now stop pouting. It only makes me want to kiss you.”

Tiffany chuckled. Instead of removing the pout, Taeyeon pouted more, as she gave hints for Tiffany to kiss her.

“You really want to be kissed, don’t you?” Tiffany smirked. Taeyeon nodded her head repetitively.

“Oh you~” Tiffany laughed a little and stopped as she watched Taeyeon leaning in closer to her face.

Taeyeon was already closed her eyes when her lips were only few inches more from Tiffany’s lips. Tiffany got the signals and she too closed her eyes and waited for the kiss. In less than a second, Tiffany could feel the soft lips of Taeyeon touching her lips. In reflex, she parted up her lips and let Taeyeon kiss her.

Taeyeon brought her hand to Tiffany’s neck and tilted her head. Tiffany followed the lead and let Taeyeon kissed her deeper. Taeyeon licked Tiffany’s lips before asking for the entrance. Without any hesitation, Tiffany welcomed Taeyeon’s
