2.4.5. Remote Device Initialization

Remote device initialization can change remote device login password and IP address.

When connect a camera to the NVR via PoE port, NVR automatically initialize the camera. The camera adopts NVR current passwo rd and email i nform ation b y de fault.

When connect a camera to the NVR vi a PoE p ort after NVR upgraded to the new versio n, the NVR may fa il to in itiali ze the camera. Go to the Registration inter face to initialize the camera. Step 1 Select Main Menu → CAME RA Camera Registration.

The Camera Regis tration interface is dis p layed .

Step 2 C lick Device Search and then click Uninitializ ed. Device displays camera(s) to be initialized.

Step 3 Select a camera to be initialized and then click Initialize.

The E nter Pas s word interface is di splayed. See Figure 2. 47.

Fi gur e 2. 47

Step 4 Set remote device password and email information.

If you want to use current device password and email information, the remote device automatically uses NVR admin account information (login password and email). There is no need to set password and email. Go to step 6.

C ancel Us ing current device password and email info, The E nter Pass word interface is displayed. SeFigure 2 .48.

E xposure

Auto iris

⚫ It is for the camera of auto iri s only.

⚫ After enable auto iri s function, the i ris can automatically zoom in/zo om out according to the brightness of the environment and the image brightness changes to o.

⚫ If disa ble the auto iri s fu nction, the ir is doe s not automatically zoom in/zoo m out according to the brightness of the environment when the iris is at the biggest value.

3D NR

⚫ This function special ly applies to the image which frame r ate is configu red as 2 at least. It reduces the noise s by making use o f the info rmation between two frames . The b igger the value is, the better the effect.

BL C

You can set camera BL C mode.

➢ Self- adaptive: In the backlight enviro nment, the system can automatically adj ust image br ightness to clearly display the obj ect.

➢ BL C :

Default: The device auto exposures according to the

environment’s situation so that the darkest area of the video is

cleared.

Customiz e: After select the specified zone, t he system can

expose the specific zone so that the zone can reach the proper brightness.

➢ WDR: In backlight environment, it can lower the high brigh t section and enhance the brightness of the low b right section. So that you can view these two sections clearly at the same time.

➢ HL C : In the backlight environment, it can lower t he brightnes s of the brightest section and reduce the area of the halo a n d lower the brightnes s of the whole video.

➢ Stop: It is to di sable the BL C function.

WB

➢ You can set camera WB mode . It can af fect the i mage who le hue so that the image can accurately d isplays the environment status .

Diffe rent camera s support different WB modes such as auto, manual, natu ral light, outdoo r and etc.

Day & Nig ht

➢ H.26 4B: Baseline pro file encoding. Th is setting requires higher bit stream compa red with other setti ngs fo r the same defin ition

Resolution

In the Res olution list, select resoluti on for t he video. Th e maximum video resolution might be different de pendent on your device model.

Frame Rate (FPS)

C onfigure the frames per second for the video. The higher the value is, the clearer an d smoothe r the imag e will become . Frame rate changes along with the resolution.

Generally, in PAL format, you can select the value from 1 throug h 25; in N TSC form at, you can select the value fro m 1 through 30 . However, the actual ra nge of f rame rate that you can select depends on the

capability of the Device.

Bit Rate Type

In the Bit Rate Type list, select CBR (Constant Bit Rate) or VBR (Variable B it Rate). If you select CBR, the image quality cannot be configured; if you select VBR, the image quality can be configured.

Quality This function is available if you select VBR in the Bit Rate L ist. The bigger the value is, the better the image w ill become.
