What Really Needs To Be Done?

o This session will look at identifying and listing tasks and resources.

The Work Breakdown Structure

o The Work Breakdown Structure, or WBS, is a key planning tool universally recognized by project management organizations. During this session, we will discuss what a WBS is and how to create one.

Scheduling

o Now that we know what tasks need to be done and the approximate order, it is time to schedule the tasks. We will look at how to estimate time and some scheduling considerations during this session. We will also look at some planning tools, including the Gantt chart, milestone charts, and action planning worksheets.

Budgeting

o The next step in planning the project is budgeting. Participants will learn about budgeting through a lecture, and then they will apply the knowledge to a case study.

Project Risks

o This session will examine what risks are and how we can identify and manage them.

Preparing the Final Plan

o All of the planning that we have done today will come together to create the final project plan.

Making it Fit

o So you've got all your documents prepared and you're ready to execute your project.

And then you find out you need to get it done two weeks sooner… or $40,000 cheaper. During this session, we will look at ways to compress the project's schedule and budget.

The Execution Phase

o This session will look at some things you should do while executing your project, including status meetings and issues management.

Controlling Changes

o During the execution of the project, you need to have a process in place for managing changes. This session will outline a change control process that you can use on any project.

Closing out a Project

o During this session, we will discuss some things that should take place during the termination or close-out phase of a project.

NLP – An Introduction to Neuro Linguistic Programming is an introductory training workshop that trainers can facilitate to a variety of groups including workplaces, associations, community groups and more. This training course demonstrates the way that our brains, thoughts, and behaviours are at the core of everything that we do every day, even when we are not aware of it.

What is Neuro Linguistic Programming?

o To begin, you will help participants define neuro linguistic programming and

determine how it can help them in their day-to-day lives. Participants will learn about the history of NLP (including an explanation of why its credibility was damaged in the 1990's) and review some key NLP terms.

The NLP Presuppositions

o Next, participants will explore 11 of NLP's guiding principles through a small group activity.

The Senses According to NLP

o This session will explore our sensory systems as represented by the VAKOG acronym.

Participants will also learn about sensory predicates - words that indicate what sensory system a person is using. The session will conclude with a discussion and an exercise on eye accessing cues.

Using Enriched Language

o Powerful speakers all have one thing in common: they use language that appeals to all of our senses. This session will teach participants how to do just that.

Interpreting Body Language

o Traditionally, body language has been used to help the listener interpret messages being sent. However, NLP uses body language to help sensitize us to the speaker's state. This session will give participants some key behaviors of common states.

Participants will also have a chance to practice these skills in a role play.

Asking Clean Questions

o NLP also provides a different approach to asking questions. NLP uses question forms that are more typically seen in therapy, called clean questioning. Participants will learn some different clean question frameworks in this session and have a chance to practice them.

The Power of Hypnotic Language

o Next, participants will learn how to embed commands in a message and how to influence a positive outcome.

Putting it All Together

o This session will give participants a chance to bring everything that they have learned together and role play a situation that recently happened in their lives.
