Example 1: Changing the venous alarm limits

Power-up screen

Shows the machine type and, in the up-per right text field, the software version.

T1 Test

The following colors identify the individual test steps / results:

The test step currently in progress is shown in the text field.

If a UF and a sodium profile are selected the graphical display will show:

1 the preset concentrate (black dashed line)

2 the actual sodium curve (blue) 3 the UF volume already removed (yellow) 4 the theoretical UF rate curve (black) The Dialysis menu shows the current status of the machine during dialysis.

The Dialysis menu also provides the option to graphically display parameters of a treatment in progress or of recorded data (see also Dialysis representation).

If other menus are selected and no key is pressed for approx. 30 seconds, the screen automat-ically returns to the Dialysis menu (exception: UF menu).

Dialysate menu

The dialysate menu displays the dialy-sate parameters.

With the exception of the dilution (mixing ratio), the values for all other parameters displayed can be entered or edited.

In the Base Na+ field, entry of the value indicated on the container is required.

Ultrafiltration menu

The Ultrafiltration menu displays the ul-trafiltration parameters.

With the exception of the Max. Rate, UF Volume and ISO Volume, the values for all other parameters displayed can be entered or edited.

Dialysate menu with bibag® (option)

The menu permits selection of the follo-wing additional function:

This menu permits selection of the fol-lowing treatment modes:

Alarm limits menu

The Alarm limits menu permits selec-tion and deselecselec-tion of the reinfusion and the needle adjustment function.

This menu also includes the fields for changing the position and size of the ar-terial, the venous and the TMP alarm window.

System parameters

The following settings can be defined in the System parameters menu:

– Reset treatment parameters – Brightness

– Auto-On Program:

to program rinse programs and power-up time for each day of the week

– System time:

to set the current date and time Setting the system parameters:

Use the keys to select the desired parameter.

– Reset treatment parameters:

Use the keys to select Yes.

– Brightness:

Use the keys to change the bright-ness.

Preparation

The Dialysis representation menu lists several diagrams for selection, such as, for example, displaying the arterial / venous pressure and blood pressure values in the Dialysis menu.

If the same diagram has been selected for both display fields or if “No diagram”

has been selected for one of the two dis-play options, the diagram actually select-ed will be displayselect-ed over the full size of the screen.

(Factory setting: upper diagram 1, lower diagram 2)

The cumulated blood volume and the ef-fective dialysis time are shown in the Dialysis data field.

Selecting the diagrams:

Use the keys to select the upper or the lower diagram.

Save the selection with the Conf key.

Cleaning menu

Cleaning process menu (e.g. heat disinfection)

Each cleaning program has its own menu which shows a schematic repres-entation of the cleaning process with in-dication of the time left and the temper-ature.

Yellow area: concentration of disinfec-tant

Red-blue area: temperature curve The cleaning menu displays the avail-able cleaning programs. The desired cleaning program is selected and started via the menu.

The cleaning menu also includes:

– The Filter change function.

(applicable for advanced hydraulics only)

– The Last disinfection function.

Here the date and time, and the pro-gram of the last disinfection that was fully completed (arrow) is displayed.
