Gain practical solutions to prevent

and control infectious disease

Today, infection control professionals must meet an increasing list of urgent demands – all related to protecting patients and health care workers from a host of infectious organisms that is increasing exponentially. Meeting, Succeeding and Exceeding – Joint Commission Resources Annual Infection Prevention and Control Conference will present vital strategies to overcoming an always-evolving threat.

This two-day conference will focus on how health care organizations are meeting requirements and protocols, succeeding at infection prevention and control, and exceeding expectations through innovative approaches. This important gathering will examine the big picture – how infection control professionals can minimize dangers by linking effective data gathering with productive collaboration.

Interact with successful infection control leaders

Distinguished faculty with a track record of infection control achievement will lead interactive conference sessions. Audience members will have opportunities to establish fruitful dialogue with expert presenters and panel members. This exchange of ideas and viewpoints will help you to:

• Build upon the public reporting of health care-associated infection (HAI) data to advocate for enhanced infection prevention and control

• Drive positive change through evidence-based clinical practice guidelines addressing influenza vaccinations and the prevention and control of MDROs such as MRSA, VRE, Clostridium difficil and other “superbugs”

• Achieve workforce transformation and behavioral commitment to infection prevention best practices using methods such as collaboration, teamwork and diffusion theory • Apply The Joint Commission’s infection prevention and control standards and

elements of performance in your health care setting

• Understand how innovative building design and new technologies such as biochips can combat infection

• Learn why “medical tourism” poses new infection control hazards

Who Should Attend

• infection control professionals • epidemiologists

• physicians and nurses involved with infection control
